Kudos to @RaymondArroyo for interviewing @BishopAthanas1 on @WorldOverLive. His Excellency spends a good amount of time discussing #TraditionisCustodes.
Regarding #TraditionisCustodes, @BishopAthanas1 observes that "behind this Motu Proprio there is another agenda," namely, a "decisive rejection of Tradition".
When asked how the "Ordinary Form" (Novus Ordo) and "Extraordinary Form" (TLM) should "co-exist", @BishopAthanas1 emphasized that they are "quite different" and that it would be "more honest" to identify them as "two rites" — something @Pontifex has done, invoking "bi-ritualism".
Ultimately, @BishopAthanas1 explains, "the Novus Ordo has to go back to the essence of the Traditional Rite of All Times."
His Excellency @BishopAthanas1 has a new book due out in January 2022 from @SophiaPress (written with @AurelioPorfiri) entitled, "The Catholic Mass: Steps to Restore the Centrality of God in the Liturgy".

🧵 Earlier this week, Dr. Peter Kwasniewski posted copies of two important letters R/T the Vatican's efforts to eradicate the TLM from parish churches.

The first letter (date redacted) was sent by the Dicastery for Divine Worship (DDW) to a bishop: facebook.com/groups/preserv… 1/4
The DDW letter (transcription below) eliminates the possibility of bishops invoking can. 87 § 1 as a means of dispensing Catholics (without Rome's permission) from Art. 3 § 2 of Traditionis Custodes, which forbids the offering of TLMs "in the parochial churches". 2/4
The second letter (dated Jan. 31, 2023) was sent to a priest by his bishop — the same bishop who received the DDW letter: facebook.com/groups/preserv…

The bishop explains that before the DDW will consider granting a dispensation from TC (Art. 3 § 2), certain info is required. 3/4

2/4 I've read all of these documents (below) and NONE OF THEM contain an actual definition of "synodality":

• Synodality in the Life and Mission of the Church (2018)

• Preparatory Document (2021)

• Vademecum (2021)

• Working Document for the Continental Stage (2022)
3/4 Comically, the Working Document (DCS) states that "it does not provide a definition of synodality in the strict sense," then directs readers to other sources equally devoid of a definition, while also noting "the difficulty of understanding what synodality means":
