Both my sister and mom developed pretty severe colds (flu?) recently, likely from s'thing my niece picked up from preschool.

I've been protected from it so far, but it was severe enough that they all got covid tests (-ve!) to make sure it wasn't that.

Anyone else hit by this?
I've read/heard about the coming cold and flu season possibly posing a more severe risk due to people largely having been isolated the past year-plus, but not sure how that's playing out so far.
One of the benefits of continuing NPIs like mask wearing for a while longer is that it helps curb the spread of non-covid illness, too.

Not that masking should become forever mandatory, but it remains an important tool in getting us out of the pandemic.

Seems Andy Ngo is seeking to censor people from tweeting about what he, himself, tweeted via fraudulent DMCA claims.

How long before he reports my tweet in an effort to censor discussion? Time will tell.

Maybe the IOC should concern itself with things that matter, like what McKayla Maroney has been tweeting today.

Get "in contact" with the USOPC about that.
In the @30for30 series about the Karolyis and USAG, there is an episode that explores the Sydney Games, and members of that women's gymnastic team talk about being cut off from everyone and isolated, housed outside the Village in a Ranch-like "prison," starved and overtrained.
How many American gymnasts and former Olympians live with the damage caused by what was permitted by the USOPC and USAG over the years?

A whole lot more than anyone realizes.
