IMO, #NetApp was the traditional on-premises #Storage vendor that moved faster to the #Cloud. They created the #DataFabric vision a few years ago and are delivering value today.
With ONTAP services available on #AWS, #Azure and #GoogleCloud, I can compare what #NetApp is doing with #Storage to what #VMware is doing with virtual machines: providing existing customers an easier path to #Cloud migration.
#NetApp ONTAP different services on the #Cloud offer file services as well as block. These are the most common storage protocols for enterprise Apps and allow customers to migrate without rewriting or reconfiguring infrastructure.
Just like #VMware, #NetApp offers a common management interface across the different instances, on-premises on in the #Cloud. This allows centralized automation and orchestration of #Storage resources.
As I mentioned before, #AmazonFSx for #NetApp ONTAP is to #Storage what #VMWonAWS is for virtual machines. Jointly engineered, simplified experience, native integration, fully managed and available from the #Cloud catalog.
Next chapter for #NetApp? Help customers optimize applications for the #Cloud. Recent investments and announcements will help address the #DevOps#SecOps#CloudOps#FinOps challenges. I'm interested in learning more about @spot_by_netapp.
