Detective Martin Howard with the Kenosha Police Department is back on the stand.

He said that night, before #Rittenhouse turned himself in to the Antioch PD, there were photos on social media of him as the suspect, but didn't know him by name. #RittenhouseTrial

Howard: Said Rittenhouse had a half inch scratch on eyebrow, cut on lip, scratch near left collarbone, redness on belly button, 2 inch scratch on left forearm, redness on right forearm, right thumb, scratch on left side shoulder blade, two bumps on back of head #RittenhouseTrial

Howard (cont): Was able to feel bumps with hand, size of penny, skin raised. Unable to photograph because Rittenhouse has thick hair.

Defense Attorney Mark Richards objects to having the audio played because of the editorial aspect of the person speaking.

Richards said it's editorialization and judge said it's a confrontation issue.

Observation: Rittenhouse leans in to defense attorney after this objection. They whispered something and then Rittenhouse seemed to crack a bit of a smile.

He's been rather stoic throughout his trial while listening to testimony and watching video evidence.

Judge Schroeder is now discussing why the audio won't be used -- said the person is not here under oath. Otherwise, it would be hearsay, not evidence -- judge using a Biblical example. #RittenhouseTrial

Using the example when Stt. Paul was on trial and said he had rights to question his accusers.

Judge said in this case, the audio of the person talking in the "The Rundown Live" video can't be used because of that. Audio from Rittenhouse in the video IS allowed #RittenhouseTrial

Howard said he has seen this video, and identifies that it was taken on the SW Corner of Sheridan and 59th in the Car Source Parking lot, and is pointed north toward St. James Church #RittenhouseTrial

Audio is on now on the video, as Rittenhouse is seen and the person filming is speaking to him. Asks Rittenhouse and person next to him if they seem him hurt, he would like help.

You can see two people on the roof of Car Source in the video, who Binger identifies as Dominick Black (who testified yesterday)

Black said yesterday during his testimony that he went on the roof that night because he felt being on the ground wasn't nearly as safe. #RittenhouseTrial

Rittenhouse stayed on the ground.

Binger points out Brian Balch in the video, who was in Kenosha that night as a militia member #Rittenhouse

Narrator of the video is heard several times telling protesters about the militia being there.

"Not all militia should have guns" he said in the video, as someone was pointing green laser at someone."

Richards objects. Binger said it describes the scene. Judge said its Hearsay

Judge is sending the jury out of the room. #RittenhouseTrial

Judge is now getting into the objection more in-depth.

Schroeder is discussing a state Supreme Court reversal of his decision on another case he tried.

"I don't want to mess around with confrontation issues"

Said he can't allow evidence be admitted that deals with that

Binger said the video shows Rittenhouse in the video and he's witnessing the scene and it sets up his state of mind.

Richards said "There's no proof what that individual is seeing" is being seen by Rittenhouse #RittenhouseTrial

Binger argues this is exactly what Rittenhouse witnessed because he is right there and seen in video

"Occuring right in front of his face!" - Binger #RittenhouseTrial

Judge Schroeder making a comment about portrayal in the media, said he saw someone say this was the most divisive case in America today.

There is a lot of discussion right now about state statute. Judge Schroeder saying he wants the case fairly tried and wants people to understand they want to go forward from this case w.o people making comments about what the law is. #RittenhouseTrial

Binger said he is not introducing the statement for the truth of the matter.

Judge asks why they're relevant. Binger said it shows #KyleRittenhouse's state of mind

Richards "that's absurd. I don't know how to respond to that." #RittenhouseTrial

Binger asks what the issue is, asks if the narrator saying the word "militia" is causing the hang up.

Observation: Judge Schroeder looks rather annoyed. #RittenhouseTrial

The judge is calling for a break. He is visibly annoyed.

Chirafisi and Binger are now discussing the issue of the video together.

Kyle Rittenhouse is standing and talking to one of his attorneys.

He looked back and made a face at his family a few times. Now speaking with his attorney and a man from the public section of the courtroom. Unsure who. #RittenhouseTrial

Judge Schroeder just popped in the courtroom and called for attorneys to join him in chambers.

Richards and Chrirafisi went back for defense. ADA James Kraus went for prosecution #RittenhouseTrial

Binger walked back into the courtroom and then went back to join them in judge's chamber #RittenhouseTrial

Lawyers are back in teh room. Defense attorneys back at their table with Rittenhouse. Binger walked in, then back out, then back in.

Binger is discussing something with the man running his A/V evidence #RittenhouseTrial

Judge is back in the courtroom. "Ready to go?"

Binger is back to showing a portion of The Rundown Live video.

In the video, the narrator is telling Rittenhouse that even though he has said he's a medic, the protestors don't view them that way. #RittenhouseTrial

Now Binger is skipping ahead in the video to another section.

In this part of the video, you hear officers from vehicles asking if Rittenhouse and company need water and say "We appreciate you guys, we really do." #RittenhouseTrial

Howard said that night, the Kenosha PD did not have a Bear Cat/MRAP vehicle. The vehicle says Sheriff, Howard does not know who it belonged to #RittenhouseTrial

(It was hard for me to see this video from where I'm seated in the courtroom. Binger was standing in my sightline)

Now they're playing Elijah Riot Interview -- Ritttenhouse saying there is pepper spray and says he doesn't have any "non lethal" #RittenhouseTrial

Now showing the interview of Rittenhouse from Richie McGinnis with The Daily Caller.

He was in Kenosha as a reporter.

#Rittenhouse tells McGinnis his job is to protect the business and help people who are hurt.

In video, Rittenhouse said other armed men are there to protect him, and the men on the roof (Dominick Black) are there to provide surveillance and help.

Rittenhouse describes how they had put some fires out, said if police had helped, it could've escalated situation .

Rittenhouse tells McGinnis he can follow them as they walk to go help someone. The other person who joins Rittenhouse is Balch, another armed 'militia' member.

Another video being shown, I believe continuation of the McGinnis/Daily Caller video.

Rittenhouse tells him he's a lifeguard and working that night as an EMT as they walk down the road.

Rittenhouse heard several times asking if anyone needs medical #RIttenhouseTrial

Howard says police obtained these videos from McGinnis.

Moving to another video - a live stream, recorded from across the Car Source #RittenhouseTrial

Binger is pointing out someone seen in the video as Richie McGinnis (Daily Caller) running toward Car Source just before the first gun shots are fired.

Binger said that is when chase between Rosenbaum and Rittenhouse started #RittenhouseTrial

Binger now points out Rittenhouse, running steps ahead of Rosenbaum.

A shot is fired, and then Rittenhouse's four shots are heard, followed by another three shots.

"He laid him out. He shot him. He laid him out you guys" the man recording is heard saying #RittenhouseTrial

You can now hear people saying "He shot him! He Shot him!"

Another series of gunshots is heard. The live stream is still focused on Car Source. #RittenhouseTrial

Video shows Rosenbaum being carried out by protesters who were providing medical aid.

Binger is advancing the video 3 minutes and 30 seconds later

Video takes us back to the site where Rosenbaum was shot and killed.

In the video, Binger points out Balch and another man near a car on fire.

Now going to another video from Drew Hernandez.

Howard said this was also obtained on twitter. #RittenhouseTrial

Binger points out Rittenhouse, Rosenbaum, and McGinnis in the video.

He's explaining the first shot fired, which came from Joshua Ziminski. That was a shot fired into the air, according to Howard. that happened behind Rittenhouse and Rosenbaum

Four shots after were fired by Rittenhouse, and all four hit Rosenbaum.

Howard said it takes 2.5 seconds to fire those 4 shots.

Followed by 3 shots - not Rittenhouse. Hard to confirm where gunfire came from, Howard said.

Howard said those 3 shots do not have any relation to Rittenhhouse or Rosenbaum.

(FWIW, Defense claims the four shots from Rittenhouse were much faster than 2.5 seconds. Claimed during opening statement the state likes to "slow things down.")

Observation -- I can't see Rittenhouses's face as we watch this video, but he has looked away from the screen. We're watching graphic video of Rosenbaum dying. #Rittenhouse

We're now seeing another video from McGinnis from the Daily Caller as he assists Rosenbaum after Rittenhouse shot him.

We're now seeing video of Rittenhouse walk away, with Anthony Huber and Gaige Grosskreutz.

You hear the gunshots in this video.

Another video shows Grosskreutz yelling for a medic.

Now another video.

Howard testifies about the number of gunshots Rittenhouse fired that night, 8.

4- Rosenbaum, 2 @ unitentified person, 1 @ Huber, 1 @ Grosskreutz.

The other shots heard are not Rittenhouse

I had to leave the courtroom because of laptop battery and I need to write my story for 5:00.

Binger wraps up examination of Det. Martin Howard.

Defense is beginning cross examination.

Right now, the defense is cross examining Det. Howard and asking questions about the FBI video and the timing of the shots.

They’re showing the up close video of Rosenbaum laying on the ground again, after being shot.

Again, #KyleRittenhouse diverts his attention, as seen in these two photos.

Court is ending for the day because there was an objection to a question asked by the defense.

Jurors are done, lawyers will discuss objection.

Cross examination of Howard continues tomorrow at 9. #RittenhouseTrial

Apparently there is an issue with Juror 7, a joke was made by that juror in some capacity.
