Germany is in trouble - available intensive beds falls to <10% in many regions due to #COVID19 hospitalization surge. Overload of the nationwide intensive capacity in Germany is highly likely in about 4 to 5 weeks. Lockdown possible in December at this rate says @WeingartenDE.

3) The US also has new pockets of surges as well. Hospitals bed at 110% in Colorado. ERs turning away incoming patients. COVID is sadly not over. nytimes.com/2021/11/03/us/…
4) this is why we need boosters urgently. We want to end this sooner. And a 3rd shot should be enough for the pandemic if we can act together in concert to end this before this drags into 2023.

DISGUSTING—Brazilian president Jair Bolsonaro’s security team used violence against Brazilian reporters on his trip to Rome for #G20 meeting—notably punching a reporter in the stomach for asking questions why #Bolsonaro was absent from leader events. 🧵

2) Newspaper O Globo reported allegations that broadcast journalist Leonardo Monteiro of TV Globo was punched in the stomach and pushed by Bolsonaro’s security after asking the president why he didn’t attend any G20 events on Sunday.

BREAKING—White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki tests positive for #COVID19. She has not been near WH staff since Wednesday, Biden since Tuesday, when she was wearing a mask. ➡️Good to still #MaskUp, even if vaxxed.📍Appears to have started from a household infection.
