“Last Diwali to this Diwali: Summary of Momentum Investments/ Trades taken (#MostlyMomentum)!!”:

Introduction of my journey so far:
I started my #StockMarket journey Jul- 2016:

•During 2016-17, as a typical new investor, started with TV Tips, and IPOs,
this (IPOs) helped in a way, best #DMART has still been the best of IPOs I applied for, got allotment, and kept for couple of months and captured fastest 282% of my #StockMarket journey.

• During 2017-18, decided not to go after TV Tips,
and started doing something on my own including a little Option “BUYING” 12, lost some funds in Option Buying, but gained a lot of experience regarding not to so something you don’t know. Alongside this, also started exploring cash market strategies of buying what is going up and
exiting what is reversing, basically “Momentum Investing: go with the flow.” 2017-18 was a good FY. Some of the gainers were #VENKEYS: 82.63%, #TIRUMALCHM: 76.90%, #BIRLAMONEY: 73.78%, #AUBANK: 59.27%, #GPIL: 53.91%, #AVANTIFEED: 45.31%, #VHL: 40.28%, #MAITHANALL: 36.53%,
#IMFA: 34.23%, #RAIN: 27.05% and some of the losers were #SHILPI: -90.45%: #HINDPETRO: -33.24%: #FCL: -26.81%: #WATERBASE: -15.67%: #PFC: -15.54%: #NMDC: -13.03%: #KARMAENG: -12.99%: #MANAKSTEEL: -12.57%: #MOREPENLAB: -12.11%: #DBREALTY: -11.19%. In this FY, I let my Losers lose.
• During 2018-19, mostly same thing continued, but was not sure about the strategy as the year was not so good, and had nothing like “being in cash,” when I did’nt have stocks to buy. I used to start investing in a stock in very less quantity, and
use to double it up quantity every week, this did not help, because even if the stock went up 100% in that time, due to averaging effect, I used to book only 10-20% gains or even losses. Gainers for the year: #IBVENTURES: 79.44%, #PAGEIND: 26.53%, #VIPIND: 26.07%,
#BAJFINANCE: 25.10%, #BRITANNIA: 14.02%, #NIITTECH: 13.94%, #LTTS: 13.92%, #DMART: 12.24%, #HEG: 11.84%, #SEAMECLTD: 11.78%, and Losers for the year: #MERCK: -12.95%, #LAXMIMACH: -10.14%, #BHARATRAS: -9.03%, #MERCK: -7.37%, #PSPPROJECT: -5.80%, #EXCELINDUS: -4.94%,
#ABCINDIA: -4.87%, #QUESS: -4.06%, #ZENSARTECH: -3.88%, #BBTC: -3.23%. Lots of Stocks were near 0%, so that year was Breakeven.

• During 2019-20, was a bit demotivated, I knew what I was doing was right but needed to make some things better, also did not much time for this,
so invested in some stocks for “LONG TERM.” I knew that this was not my style but gave it a try. Then came the great “#CORONA Crash.” Saw 43% drawdown in “LONG TERM” portfolio. Decided not to continue, but as per typical mentality couldn’t book this big loss.
During the same time came across a person on twitter who was actually doing what I was trying to do… Alok Sir (@WeekendInvestng), two things I learned there were to add cash when you don’t find opportunities and proper stock allocation
•i.e., adding stock in a fixed ratio of portfolio and let it gain the weight in portfolio if it performs well. Still learning many things…

Have been practicing this well since then (it has been 1.5 years),
although it is a bull market, added cash twice and not even if this “BULL MARKET” ends, I know the thing I am doing “MOMENTUM INVESTING,” will give good results in long term.

Started a strategy, “MOSTLY MOMENTUM FLEXI CAP,” (Pinned Tweet) for self-use in March 2021,
and two other variants in October 2021.

Attached is the comparative chart of MOSTLY MOMENTUM FLEXI CAP’s comparative performance and Max Drawdown:
