A few tips on keeping your #crypto wallet safe 🔒

1/ Have a #Metamask Hot Wallet with very little value in it. You will strictly use this wallet to interact with #web3

2/ Have a vault i.e. Hardware Wallet where you keep everything over 1eth. This vault is never to be connected to any hot wallet in any way. Do not buy anything using this wallet, it is only for receiving and sending. Do not connect it to any sites or dapps...

Remember, security of a hardware wallet is derived from it not being connected to the internet.

P.S. Make sure you get your Hardware wallet from the official site. NEVER buy on amazon or secondary markets

3/ Generally speaking, mobile wallets are much safer than extensions. Rainbow wallet is a good option for everyday use.

4/ Never have everything in one place.
Diversify, diversify, diversify (not only in terms of asset exposure but also in terms of "Where" those assets are being stored).

5/ The most important thing is to never reveal your seed phrase. Ideally, you never store it in digital format. Just have it on paper (two copies) and store each copy in a different place that no one besides you has access to.

6/ The most common mistakes people make when storing their seed phrase include taking a screenshot, writing it in the notes app, a text file on the desktop

7/ Enable 2FA on all accounts where possible

8/ Always make sure you’re interacting with official accounts

9/ Never click on random links & never open or download random files

10/ Paper can get wet or get burned. If you want an extra layer of security, try using a metal solution like Cryptosteel or Blockplate. These things are fire, rust and water resistant
