Damn… this is a DEATH surge chart, not just #COVID19 cases. It’s not just Michigan—it’s most Northern US states, and Europe, and likely Canada soon too. Winter wave here already here folks. #Booster shot ASAP or else this will get worse for those unvaccinated / partially vaxxed.
2) If you want to avoid a lockdown…. Get boosters. If you want to avoid hospitals overrun, get masks and ventilate your house and classrooms and workspaces. If you want kids to stay in school, get them vaccinated. It’s not hard people if we try!!!

4) Why is the surge happening? Partly due to #DeltaVariant being somewhat evasive but also due vaccine waning to a degree, but of course also heavily due to sizeable unvaccinated. It’s complicated. But @VincentRK explains. ⬇️

2) the viral load of these two with #B11529 in Hong Kong hotels were VERY high. PCR Ct values of 18 and 19!!! That’s insanely high considering they were negative on recent PCR tests. Damn, looks like vaccine evasion could be real with this variant.
3) and hell yes it’s very airborne. The hotel guests were in different room across the hallway from each other. Environmental samples found the virus in 25 of 87 swab across both rooms.

If you don’t get the #COVID19 vaccine in Singapore, you have to pay for your own hospitalization. But since Singapore 🇸🇬 has free universal healthcare, they’re saying “we are going to treat you like an American—which is the biggest punishment you can give someone” ~@ronnychieng😳
