Note how smooth he tries to be as he lies. Even MORE attention to Mehmet Oz will be good for Democrats. He's a handy distillation of all that is wrong with today's R party.

Mehmet Oz could have used his profile to help save lives in the pandemic so far. If he really wants to do all the things he claims to voters in his campaign.

The lack of such a record should be a core plank of the campaign against him in the PA Sen race.

I have long disregarded Mehmet Oz as anything approaching a credible medical voice in the public sphere.

He trained and worked as a cardiothoracic (heart and lung) surgeon. Let that sink in.

Of all the medical specialties Mehmet Oz could be involved in, cardiothoracic surgery is one of a few most closely applicable to the medical issues of this pandemic.

Where are his self-funded ads, statements and activities urging Americans to take proper Covid precautions?

Any high profile, wealthy, MD who is not urging vaccinations, proper mask use, proper distancing, and helping to maximize US capacity for safe, high quality ICU-type services where they are needed most is failing his or her country.

How dare he try to run for Senate.

I have long said that I view this pandemic as an emergency on the level of WWI or WWII.

History will record what each of these public figures did to help save lives, or not.

This particular issue is IMO the main reason #TrumpLost.

I also see signs in his b/g that raise a bunch of other questions, including as they relate to T****.

Mehmet Oz has dual US and Turkish citizenship, & served in their army to retain it.

As we all know, T**** is extremely bigoted against Muslims, and/or POC with heritage from countries with Muslim or Arab majorities. IMO he is more bigoted against this group than almost any other.

I think Mehmet Oz' b/g and links to Turkey could become an issue in his campaign.

Both politicians / grifters / conmen will try to slink away from any questions about this. I'm kinda looking forward to watching this clownshow.

Holding medical conmen & women accountable is probably the most important issue motivating me as a politics junkie from way back.

I'm here to watch Americans fight for accountability and action on:

- Voting rights (esp. bc #BlackLivesMatter)
- The pandemic
- The Big Lie
- Jan 6
- Republicans' use of all the above in their ongoing insurgency plans.

Because, among other reasons, American scientists developed the Covid vaccine that I'm relying on to survive this pandemic.

If America falls, we all go down with it. America stands between us and the twin threats of Russia and China. We need you.

US allies like NZ, AU, CAN, and the UK fought side by side in WWII, to win the relative peace that lasted 76 years and counting. That peace (and *actual* freedom and material wellbeing) is now at risk.

I find NZ politics boring. The USA is far more interesting to me.

So I'll be here watching the fate of despicable people like Mehmet Oz, Donald T****, Michael Flynn, and Ron DeSantis.

Their crimes against humanity must be stopped, and further crimes prevented.
