I’ve had a bit of a bee in my bonnet since Friday, I’m ecstatic at the #NorthShropshire election. However I need to say this…. It wasn’t just about protest votes and lending votes. If we had fielded a crap candidate, or an outsider the swing wouldn’t have been as good……

We had a candidate in place who knows the people of #NorthShropshire who worked hard before the by election. There was a genuine like for @helenhalcrow and all she believes in. That she would be a full time MP!!!! So please don’t underestimate her. She will make a fine MP….

She will work hard for the people because she has a lot to prove, like @cajardineMP @LaylaMoran @libdemdaisy they are real people with real life experience. Who do the job to make life better for others #SundayThoughts #helenmorgan

As I have amassed a fair few followers as of late I feel the need to talk about why and how I became involved in politics…… it all started in 2016 watching the brexit result. I saw my children’s futures destroyed by brexit, then followed months of armchair politics. 1/

Shouting at the tv, getting upset reading the papers!! 🤬 I decided that I needed to be pro active. I looked at the opposition parties and the best fit for me was the @LibDems . So I joined, I attended my first meeting with the local @WLM_LibDems and got the bug. I had been 2/

A stay home mum for at that point for 14 yrs, I was an ODP in the #NHS before that. I thought I had nothing to offer!!! 😳 I was wrong, I found my voice, I found my ideas were good, I found I was listened to. Pretty soon I was leading discussions, I was asked to join the 3/
