⚠️CDC MADE IT WORSE—The @CDCgov is so out of whack right now—@CDCDirector quietly **without any notice** revised the unscientific 5-day isolation press release from just “asymptomatic” to “or symptoms are resolving”. ➡️Plus “resolving” is even more useless & dangerously vague—🧵
2) I mentioned this “symptoms are resolving” muddy nonsense… 👇
3) Yesterday I warned that this vague language will definitely enable if not encourage people to skirt the isolation rules. This will only cause more infections!

5) Someone noticed that CDC actually quietly changed their Twitter posted guidelines to “or symptoms resolving” as early as Dec 28th (the day after the Dec 27th press release). ➡️This is bonkers CDC is playing games during the pandemic by inserting unscientific vague statements!
6) DAY **11** until no longer infectious…. Did you hear that @CDCgov? Is CDC okay with a person spreading it for 5-6 days after your 5 day isolation guidance? If you were politically / business pressured, then admit you caved and no longer looking out for science @CDCDirector…

2) the early “reduced sensitivity” was based on one particularly lab study of pooling many samples together and diluting them until they can’t be detected. It may not translate into actual clinical difference in real world. Fingers crossed 🤞🏼
3) I’ve seen many testing experts (like @michaelmina_lab) recommend SWABBING YOUR THROAT to better find #Omicron — because the variant replicates differently in your body (more in your bronchial tubes). Hence **throat** swabbing likely better! 👇

Let this sink in—@Delta Airlines first lobbied @CDCgov to change #COVID19 isolation rules—got its way a few days later. Then Delta proceeds to further dilute the new lax CDC rules. And then Delta slashes sick leave for workers. ➡️ Delta Airlines wants to make COVID great again.
2) You almost can’t make up a more heinous story than this. @Delta will only offer 5 days of paid sick leave for #COVID19 — if you are still sick and need to isolate longer, tough shit, says Delta—no paid sick leave longer. nytimes.com/2021/12/29/bus…

FLORIDA—Surpassing all-time #COVID19 high with hospitalizations surging like clockwork behind the case rise. Some claimed Florida was as “herd” and #Omicon protected because of recent July-September #DeltaVariant wave. This looks unlikely.
