Why my Page Doesn't Rank [Better or At All]? It's one of the most common SEO questions! πŸ‘€

I've created a Google Sheets with a Checklist to Help Answer it: docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d… (Go to "Edit" > "Make a Copy" To copy) and a #LearningSEO Page for it too:
learningseo.io/why-my-page-do…
I love sharing this Google Sheets resource whenever I'm asked the "Why my Page Doesn't Rank" explaining how I will need to go through all those configurations/areas, as it serve to show how is *not* a one trick thing, how all needs to be aligned and better than competition too!
Questions to ask:

* Is the page Crawlable?
* Is the page Indexable?
* Is the Page Content More Relevant than the Top Ranked Pages for Target Queries?
* Is the Page Content more Helpful/Comprehensive/Authoritative than Top Ranked Pages to Fulfill User Search Needs?
...
...

* Is the Page giving a Good User Experience better than the Top Ranked Pages for Target Queries?

* Is the Page linked internally from the site navigation and related site pages with crawlable, followed links and included in XML sitemap?

...
...

* Is the Page attracting More & Better Links from Authoritative & Relevant Sites than Top Ranked Pages for Target Queries?

* Is the Page search result appearance more descriptive, attractive for Target Queries vs top ranked pages, using search features to maximize CTR?
...
Use the Google Sheet, including also resources to go through the questions: docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d…

I have just signed up as a mentor and will share in the next #SEOFOMO too! Please take a look at what @chimammeje shares and let's support BIPOC freelancers from developing countries to help close the existing gap! πŸ‘‡
@chimammeje ... as someone who was born/grew up/study in a developing country (Nicaragua) and was lucky & fortunate to have the chance to study and develop my professional career in Spain too, I know well how hard it can be to develop yourself professionally in a developing country...
... and how different it can be when you live/work in a developed one too! There's a huge gap not only in terms of payment but *access* to work, and *how* you're perceived.. just because of where you're based, which is ridiculous. I really expect the popularity of remote work...

If you’re thinking going Freelance / Solo consulting and are scared to not get clients:

πŸ˜‰ Unlike agencies you don’t need dozens of clients, just a handful at a time
πŸ‘©πŸ½β€πŸ’» Prefer ongoing processes that allow you to set long term agreements and get recurring payments

…
…

πŸ‘‰ Become the β€œgo to” partner to be referred by people doing complementary work (eg. Web developers will refer you when client needs SEO)
πŸ’πŸ»β€β™€οΈ Start freelancing part time if you can before leaving your job, to have a client base already when you start full time

…
…

πŸ™Œ Do an amazing work with clients and they will refer you: They want to help their friends to hire the best

πŸ”₯ Set and optimize your site to show how good you are that you can share to potential clients: your specialization, success stories, testimonials, guides

Today's #SEOTip πŸ’ͺ When someone uses the argument that they don't have time/resources to do X/Y "FOR SEO" (so myopic right? ok, but don't say that πŸ˜‰): Show how it's NOT about "SEO" but users experience & company's biz goals, including their own area ones, with data! Here's how:
...

A) If it's an error (eg: Showing 404 HTTP status): Show how many *users* in aggregate access to those pages each month in the last year (Crawl+Google Analytics Data) and can't *BUY* on the site due to that. Do a screen recording of users clicking on links going to...
... those pages showing the *bad* effect in their customer journey. Show also how much traffic and conversions similar "working" pages of those with errors are attracting now, that you're missing to get in the errors ones in aggregate!

To celebrate the #100KFollowers:

πŸ’₯ 10 Errors I've done as an SEO (I wish I had been warned of), & how to avoid them...

1. Saying yes to what looked as attractive SEO job/projects w/o validating well there was a fit for SEO, resulting in unsuccessful processes.

...
...

Early in my career as an SEO, I accepted what looked to be "attractive" positions or projects just to later realize decision makers were not really invested in the project, there were little resources or no flexibility to execute, and ended up being in professional...
... scenarios that were negative/stressful.

This is why it’s critical to not feel β€œpushed” to pitch/accept β€œany potential opportunity” coming your way: not every company is ready! Check first if there's fit with resources, flexibility, goals and context of the company.
