Though I don't know of any groups or individuals counter-protesting, the members and supporters of the convoy continue to claim any violence that does occur will be because of "antifa" in an attempt to inoculate themselves from blame should something happen. 7/21
Claims about the size of the protest also continue to grow in size, outstretching anything that is likely.
When the press provide a more realistic tally, they will be accused of being "fake news." 8/21
And not surprisingly there continue to be calls for the use of weapons and demands that those they consider "traitors" or "war criminals" (a seemingly growing list) be arrested, tried, and in some cases executed. 9/21
IF there is any positive in this escalating climate of fear it is that some individuals of concern appear to be shying away from participation, though this of course remains to be seen. 10/21
Derek Harrison also chimes in suggesting he might have a target on himself. 11/21
I mean, I can't imagine why he would be someone of concern... 12/21
But hey, the Plaid Army/Diagalon are simply misunderstood! They're just comedians with some edgy humor! Don't take them seriously! They're great guys who would never harm a fly! Canadians aren't violent! 13/21
It doesn't show everything and what I can see is a large crowd, but it certainly doesn't look like the 500,000 to 1.4 million the participants claimed would be there (one random person believed there would be 3.5 million, or close to 10% of Canada). 2/
So far people on the ground have noted Diagalon and Canada First flags and at least one person in a Soldiers of Odin vest.
We also see a Canada First supporter dressed for a "peaceful" demonstration. 3/
If you or anyone you know plan on countering the convoy protest, I urge you not to. I can't see this not resulting in violence. It is only the nature of the violence that is in question at this point. 1/14
While I pray that I'm wrong, we've seen too much already which suggests this isn't going to go well.
First there is the boorish behaviour of some participants and their supporters that I first heard about in Winnipeg and which continues into Ontario. 2/14
But this is all minor in the who scheme of things. 3/14
