Rainy Sunday arvo here on the Goldie so I thought I'd have a squizz at something.

I'm furious about aged care, I'm furious with Aged Care Services & Sport Minister Richard Colbeck.

I kept asking myself "Where TF is his head at?"

That got me thinking.

Very hard for the 4th Estate to hold power to account when they're sharing the same box at the tennis.

This is why we can't have nice things....other countries call it corruption.

The Australia Club is an all-male club that doesn't allow female membership

Any self-respecting woman wouldn't set foot in that place

MP for Nicholls, Damian Drum earns about $220K+ but he had a Catholic school pay for him & his family to go to the tennis.

Begs the question: if this school can afford to sponsor politicians to go to the tennis then why do they need taxpayer funding?🤔

I've just returned from a tip up to north QLD, traveled via coal mine country - Rolleston/Injune/Clermont/etc.

I have to say these communities don't seem to be benefiting from coal mining much (as Libs & Nats insist). Most workers must be FIFO/DIDO.

These towns are dilapidated, vacant shops, lucky to have an IGA. The houses are old & dilapidated. The cars in town are basic, well-used, nothing flash.

No evidence these locals are on $150-$250K+ coal mining incomes. So, I'm guessing they're not mostly.

Buildings (like council chambers/churches/schools/hospitals/etc are small & old), roads aren't the best.

Basically, there's very little evidence in these communities that they sit atop a multi-billion dollar industry.

The money isn't staying in these towns.
