I've done a bit of digging on the Gold Coast anti-G String crusader Ian Grace
Found a bit of interesting stuff
Seems he's a fan of Peter Dutton & a was a volunteer for Karen Andrews in 2019
π

Karen Andrews mentioned him in 2017 in Parliament

Dutton & Joyce are getting on Newcastle's offshore wind farm bandwagon bcuz they see votes in scaring the bejesus out of ppl (again), it's about politics & crushing Labor
So, let's debunk their argumentsπ§΅
1. It'll be an eyesore & kill tourism.
It's 20km offshore.
π
#auspol 2. It'll kill small business.
Again, it's 20km offshore & will provide cheaper electricity for business (and everyone)
3. It's noisy.
Again, it's 20km offshore.

Karen Andrews MP claims she had "the back of my neck breathed on" by a male colleague when asking questions in Question Time.
I've just had a look at the House of Reps seating plans.

I've been chatting to some friends & family about #TheVoice
Here are some of the questions I've been asked & my replies.
Q. What is a Referendum?
B: A national vote to change part of the Australian Constitution. This is the first Referendum this century!
π
#auspol
Q. Why are we being asked a question?
B: A Referendum is a question on the principle of a matter.
A broad outline of the idea is set out during the campaign, the finer details are determined by the Parliament after the Referendum is the "Yes" vote is successful 1/2

There's a lot of talk about 'productivity' & how if we just work harder & be more productive then wages will increase
Well, lets have a proper discussion about productivity
Employers holding workers to ransom over productivity are making record profits.
π #auspol#Bee4Fadden
Productivity comes about when employers provide better work environments without compromising on safety.
Productivity comes about when employees feel valued.
Productivity comes about when govts invest the same amount in every child's education.

Linda Reynolds' interview with The Oz contradicts her official statement at the time.
Reynolds recollection of events is that it was "...prior to one question time..."
It was well prior, Reynolds did not attend the Senate at all that day.

She refers to not knowing whether she attended QT or not.
Her official statement at the time said she was admitted to Canberra Hospital in the morning.
I was reading up on some history this wk, mainly looking at how long First Nations have been calling for a Voice
I was amazed to find Rupert Murdoch's name pop up, from an event that happened in 1957. Quite pertinent today considering News Corp's position on #Voice

I'll try to keep it short & sweet - sources provided if you want to read more.
Morrison announced a $220 million upgrade to Epping Rd today, split 50/50 w/ NSW
Bit of history to this
It's a NSW Govt project that was announced by Minister Anthony Roberts 17 July 2018
Cost in 2018: $50 million
Cost in 2022: $220 million
π #auspol#ausvotes#ausvotes2022
So, the re-announcement Morrison made today is EXACT same commitment the NSW took to their 2019 state election & never delivered
Now, it's getting a re-run at quadruple+ the price!

Why is a Norwegian-owned company the ONLY supplier of newsprint-grade paper in Australia?
We have trees
Btwn May 2018 - Nov 2020 the federal govt gave Norske Skog $1.5 million - basically for commercial Cyrene Production for the EXPORT market
What's so special about Torquay Surf Life Saving Club?
All surf clubs are deserving but this one seems to think it is especially so
2020 they got $550K
They've lobbied Matthew Guy, he's promised $3.5 million
Y'day Morrison promised another $6.5 million

Torquay SLSC's $550K 'Closed, non-competitive' grant hasn't yet expired & they want $10 million more!
They want to do an $11 million reno - they've raised $1 million - they expect taxpayers to stump up the rest
Money would be better shared among all SLSCs

On May 21, 2022 Australians will vote in a federal election. Voting is compulsory for all citizens over 18.
If you're not enrolled, you still have time:
Close of Rolls is Monday 18 April, 2022
π #auspol
Australians will vote for candidates in the House of Representatives (Lower House) and a half Senate election (Upper House)
This is NOT a 'double dissolution' election, so that means we are only voting for half the Senate (38 Senate seats will be contested)
