It's definitely a stand off now, with the line of police officers facing what seems like a pretty committed group of people - hearing reports that people have brought there children back to #AmbassadorBridge - there are snipers on roofs /2

Snipers are usually seen when police escalate a situation like this - not because of the perceived threat but because snipers are long sticks with fancy sights - looks cooler to look through one of those than binoculars /5

A LOT of heavy duty cops with what appear to be rubber-bullet rifles - including tactical helmets, bulletproof vests - about 5-10 I can see within one angle /11

There are, by my guess, more police vehicles than occupier vehicles - the police are definitely mounting numbers and I worry that the longer this goes on, the more beers are going to be passed out, which is only going to make this messy/12

To be specific, the police vehicles look unmarked - the officers do have to display their local affiliations, which is leading to some members of the crowd wanting to taunt them by name /13

The crowd is indignant, which isn't surprising - having been allowed to get away with this for so long, any movement would be - the police are staying inside their vehicles, 'warming up' according to the occupiers /14

The injunction has been in place for over 24 hours, and I have not heard any reports of any arrests or tickets at the #AmbassadorBridge - they are now chanting 'Trudeau, has got to go' - they are emboldened /14

There is one (what looks like) a city bus that a large amount of officers just loaded into - the bridge is most definitely still closed, and has been since this blockade began, despite the claims of the blockaders /15

The officers seem to be reforming a solid line in front of the occupiers, which has seriously aggravated them - lots of loud yells, and now a cheer of 'JOIN US' /18

Y'all I'm tired - I will be back if anything pops off but if not you'll see it from @ConsumerSOS or some other reporter who is on the scene at 5:30AM - I may be feeling a little frustrated but it also seems like a show is being put on to make us feel 'safe' when we wake up /35
