CMC has in the writ petition challenged a communication from the selection committee which prescribed that it had to conduct the admissions as per the #NEET scores and on basis of Christian Minority, the communication prescribed a 50-50 seat sharing between the State and CMC
CMC had on 19th January moved for an interim order from the #SupremeCourt whereby it sought the previous year’s seat sharing of 70-30 to continue. The court however did not give any such relied. The court had asked #TamilNadu to allot seats from the #NEETPG merit list of minority
Yesterday, CMC had approached the #SupremeCourt saying that the State in its merit list allotted seats only to the students from #TamilNadu . The court clarified that 70% admissions shall be made from a list of Christian Minority students prepared by the State, 30 % by CMC
The court also clarified that students who had studied their under graduation from CMC shall be considered as the residents of #TamilNadu for the purpose of admissions.
