We all remember the big things Trump did to destroy democracy: refuse to release his taxes, lie to his accountant and banks, destroy documents, etc. Let's take a trip down memory lane and discuss a few of the disgraceful and disgusting elements of the 45 admin. 1/
❌ Almost doubled the cost of naturalization from $640 to $1160 to keep "undesirables" from becoming citizens.
❌ Asked FBI Director James Comey to make the Mike Flynn case go away. 2/
❌ When credible evidence showed that Vladimir Putin arranged the poisoning of opposition leader Alexei Navalny, Trump refused to condemn Putin.
❌ Attacked his perceived enemies with DOJ lawsuits that failed-NYT, CNN, AT&T, Washington Post. 3/ bbc.com/news/world-us-…
❌ Pardoned: Joe Arpaio, Michael Flynn, Paul Manafort, Roger Stone, George Papadopoulos, Steve Bannon, Elliot Broidy, Chris Collins, Duncan Hunter-because they like him and kept their mouths shut about Trump's transgressions. 4/ nytimes.com/article/who-di…
❌Leased the Old Post Office for a Trump hotel in DC, blatantly ignoring the Emoluments Clause of the Constitution. He charged US govt for Secret Service at all his properties in the US and abroad, with the money going directly into Trump's pocket. 5/ npr.org/2020/05/14/855…
❌ GOP in Congress and Republican groups spent $ at Trump properties, as well as businesses looking for political favors. Many representatives of foreign governments stayed at the Trump DC hotel, which is against the Foreign Emoluments Clause. 6/
❌ Said he would surround himself with only the best and most serious people. We saw how well that worked out. 7/ apnews.com/article/busine…
❌ Supported conspiracy theorists like Rush Limbaugh and Alex Jones over our own intelligence agencies.
❌ At the Pentagon used the "Hall of Heroes" as a backdrop to announce his Muslim ban. 8/ washingtonpost.com/news/checkpoin…
❌ In 2019, Trump claimed his administration was the most open and transparent, which is true if you call having the record for most consecutive days w/o a press briefing, or stalling FOIA requests transparent.
❌ Or withholding info on Covid in 2020. 9/ latimes.com/politics/story…
❌ Trump lied about his health in 2015 by dictating a letter put out by his personal physician. 11/ npr.org/sections/thetw…
This is the man to whom MAGAts pledge their undying loyalty. A man who would, and probably will, turn in his own children to the authorities if it means saving his own skin.
This graphic is a joke.
❌"control" is spelled w/ 1 n.
❌ Do #Democrats believe in Liberalism, Communism, or Socialism? Which is it?
❌ The horror of letting people vote!
❌ Increase taxes on the wealthy 1/
❌ Why is the military weak? Is it because anyone who wants to join can?
❌ Sure, #Republicans want babies to be born. Then they and their families are on their own.
❌ Tax breaks for the wealthy only.
❌ Gun rights over human rights every time for the #GOP. 2/
❌ Free speech-is that why Trump called the press the "enemy of the people?"
❌ Humping a flag at a convention or putting a flag sticker on your car does not a patriot make.
❌Constitution - Trump constantly went against it. I guarantee he never read it. 3/
