Canada will send $25M worth of protective equipment to Ukraine- and vows to send more.
This includes things like helmets, body armour, night-vision gear and gas masks.
FA Minister Melanie Joly says they have secured transportation routes to ensure the gear gets to Ukraine.
Joly to Canadians with friends/family in Russia- urges them to tell them what's happening in Ukraine.
Adds that the Russian regime is lying to its people about the invasion or Ukraine, saying Russian people do not deserve to be at war with their neigbours.
Defence Minister Anita Anand says a combat mission is not on the table at this time nor for its allies like the US.
Anand says buildup of troops in Europe is for deterrence.
Adds the $7M in lethal aid for Ukraine has been delivered in full.
Canada also reinforcing support for NATO's eastern flank by expanding operation: reassurance to deter Russian aggression.
"The world has undoubtedly become a more dangerous place."
Anand says that while this invasion may seem far away, Canada is no longer as insular from danger.
Anand denounces Putin's threats on nuclear capabilities - calls it highly irresponsible.
Joly says she talked to Heritage Minister and they all agree that RT is a problem and they will solve it.

Edmonton Mayor Amarjeet Sohi says Premier Kenney's decision to amend Municipal Gov Act to ban cities from implement their own health measures is "deeply disappointing."
Worries this overreach will go beyond the mask bylaw - saying province can overrule anything it doesn't like.
Sohi says changing the MGA means the province could changes smoking rules, traffic issues.
Says they will meet with lawyers, council colleagues and other municipalities to see what their options are.
