unconfirmed video reportedly from this evenings attack in Erbil. Note if confirmed, potential of heavy rockets used as can be seen mid trajectory towards impact.
That looks very more of a missile than a rocket...
Initial reports talk of the use of Fateh-110 missiles, these reports currently remain unconfirmed at this time. Additional to this, footage is circulating social media (included) of missiles reportedly over Iran.
In October 2021 a reported Israeli airstrike against several IRGC positions in Palmyra, Syria was responded to by suicide drones/loitering munition at the US Al-Tanf Garrison. I think we are seeing the response to the airstrike in Damascus killing two IRGC personnel.
This is purely my own opinion in the above tweet, I could be wrong, but it’s my speculation.
Daddy Day Care - the staged edition, photos are off, but right now I’ve still go no sat imagery to look at, blast damage is heavy, probably means it’s in the vicinity of the impact, but as to were, unclear.
Building has another one in the vicinity. There are a few on the compound but none that I can easily see with a fence in the middle? Curious what building this is. Also possible the fence has gone in since sat imagery on Google was taken which im using for reference.
Thread - War between Wars - tiny bit of the details.
Alright - this will probably be a tad ramlbe-ish as I put together some of what I believe key pieces that have lead us to last nights missile strike on #Erbil, some of the threads included delve
This small thread will be high level but it’ll just look at some of the larger incidents over the recent period to take into consideration that last nights strike on Erbil wasn’t just a random incident but part of a “bigger picture”, this will focus mainly on Israel/Iran
We start with some of the recent history, the tussle of tankers, the shift tides, which appears to be moving from the deep sea incidents to more on shore. The move of “on shoring” events shows we have gone full circle to using the supply chains through air and land. But…
Looks like an ammunition stockpile just got struck in Cherkasy Oblast, Ukraine. Shockwave from the blast can be seen.
None watermarked version.
Assumption here is that this was some form of Thermobaric Projectile/bomb used, of course this can’t exactly be verified by the footage alone, but the footage is suggestive.
FWIW as I’m getting comment questions, I’m yet to see any footage/photos/media of the reportedly downed IL-76’s over night last night. Footage of an AN-26 which was downed the other day is circulating claiming to be related but they are separate events.
I’m in the process of putting the big Red doubt on these reports now. Unless something credible imagery wise shows up.
It’s important to still give time as we’ve seen today for example, some footage of the downed Ukrainian AN-24 from the first day only appeared on social media today, not everything is instant, hence why “in the process” not concluded.
Videos have begun to circulating social media this evening of Russian Topol-M ICBM’s on the move, reportedly in Moscow.
Make of it what you will, everyone will have their own opinion on this one.
It is unclear if this image is the same one or not, sharing for transparency.
I did the usual cross referencing of frames of videos and the pictures across Google lens, Google image search, Yandex and Tineye, I couldn’t see anything in reverse. It’s in Russias interest for these to suddenly appear on social media, be it from tonight or not, but I can’t…
