The last day saw very limited Russian advances as Russian forces have effectively paused most of their offensives with some exceptions (but are still massively shelling cities). Most movements are in the Donbass and in southern Ukraine (Mykolaiv Oblast particularly).
It's clear that the Ukrainian defense is one of the main factors behind the Russian "pause", but over the past days, the Russians also seem to be regrouping and reorganizing. This is not over unfortunately.
This "pause" paves way to more serious diplomatic efforts. I would not rule out the possibility that a temporary ceasefire (24-48 hours) will be reached in coming days. It will mean very little though, given that Russia can use that time to do what it is already doing: Regrouping
Zelensky has been insisting on meeting with Putin. This is a good move (though unlikely to happen at this time in my opinion) for two main reasons:
1 - Putin is the only decision maker. All the others are nothing else than middle-men. It was very clear in Antalya.
>>
2 - A face-to-face meeting between Putin and Zelensky will make it difficult for Putin to then claim the Ukrainian President is "illegitimate" and that the government is the result of a "coup". Meeting would be a concrete proof Russia is climbing down the "regime-change" tree.
Remember that this is a key part of Putin's rhetoric: The government in Kyiv is the result of a "coup", and illegitimate. Notably Russia said it was not looking to change the regime in Kyiv recently, but a Putin-Zelensky meeting would put this idea to rest.
It's one thing to send your lackeys discuss with an "illegitimate" government, another to do so yourself. This is also why I think despite Peskov claims that Putin is "open to it", this won't happen (but happy to be wrong).
On evacuations, this is quite telling:
#Russia bombed the bridge between Enerhodar and Zaporozhia that was used to evacuate civilians from the Russian-controlled town of Enerhodar and send aid.
This morning the Antonov plant was shelled in Kyiv, according to the city administration
A residential building was shelled by Russian forces in Kyiv's Obolon. The Ukrainian emergency services reported that two people were killed and 12 people injured.

#Kyiv administration names the most dangerous areas of the Kyiv region:
- Zhytomyr highway
- Bucha-Irpin-Hostomel
- north of the Vyshhord district.
- Fighting taking place in Baryshivka, Katiyanska Velyka Dymerka areas in the Brovary region
(This confirms the general picture we already had of the battle for Kyiv, no major changes).

Kremlin spokesperson Dmitry Peskov says Moscow is not aware of Ramzan Kadyrov's alleged travel to Ukraine to participate in #Russia's "special operation" (Kadyrov recently claimed he travelled to #Ukraine)
Peskov claims that, at the beginning of the "special operation" in Ukraine (the Russian invasion), the Ministry of Defense was instructed not to carry out attacks against large cities [right...], such as Kyiv. He seems to suggest that may not be the case anymore.

Kyiv is still under the 35-hour-long curfew imposed yesterday by the Mayor following orders from the regional military administration. The curfew will last until tomorrow morning, 07:00 (7 am).
This morning Russia once against struck Kyiv, including the Shevchenkivskyi district, where a 12-story building was hit according to the Ukrainian emergency service
Over the past 24 hours, there's been a clear uptick in Russian strikes against Kyiv itself - most being directed at civilian areas. I think the past 24 hour saw the highest number of strikes in Kyiv since the invasion began.
Two residential towers were hit in #Kyiv's Sviatoshynskyi, a house in the Osokorky, and another residential building in the Podilskyi this morning in strikes that occured between 4 and 6 am. At least two people were killed.
Yesterday saw very few Russian advance. Interestingly, Russian forces seem to have focused on the Donbass, including with an attack against Mariupol, and a continued attempt to surround Severodonetsk
I doubt #Russia is dropping its more ambitious goal for now, but I would not rule out that it's now more seriously considering a more limited goal (Luhansk, Donetsk and Kherson Provinces) as a Plan B to call its "special military operation" (invasion) a success.
Let's start by this: The woman photographed in the aftermath of the Russian bombing of a Maternity hospital in Mariupol, days ago, gave birth to a baby girl.
I heard #Russia faces difficulties supplying its own troops. It seems they are, however, pretty good at supplying Ukrainian forces with all the ammo they need 👌
