I heard #Russia faces difficulties supplying its own troops. It seems they are, however, pretty good at supplying Ukrainian forces with all the ammo they need 👌
The head of the military administration of Mykolaiv reports that the Ukrainian air force was able to target a Russian supply convoy last night t.me/mykolaivskaODA…
Head of the IAEA going to Turkey today - a meeting between the Foreign Affairs ministers of Russia and Ukraine is planned for today in Antalya
Video (likely from yesterday): Russian column trying to advance towards Brovary, gets destroyed.
The audio may be intercept of Russian com. It looks like Ukrainian light infantry may have ambushed the column. Honestly, this is poor tactics from Russia to advance such a large column with no clear recon, prior clearing ahead with light troops.
Tripartite meetings between #Turkey, #Russia and #Ukraine have started in Antalya (via AA)
Bilateral meeting between Turkey and Ukraine's Foreign Ministers (prior to ongoing tripartite meeting)
This remark (amongst others) by Kuleba made me think that basically Lavrov had zero mandate to agree to anything. This would suggest Russia is just trying to buy time/deflect attention with those talks (which is what it typically does)
Ukrenergo just released a statement saying their repair crews have been waiting to go and repair the electricity line to the #Chernobyl nuclear power plant since yesterday.
"Just stop the shelling and give our repair crews access!"
They say they do not need to assistance from the Belarusian side.
This seems to suggest that Russia is trying to connect the plant to the grid in Belarus?
The Ukrainian Command North claims that it destroyed a unit of Iskander missiles near Chernihiv - would consider this unconfirmed for now.
Belarusian President Lukashenko is slated to visit Moscow tomorrow and meet with President Vladimir Putin
Russian air defense system destroyed by a Ukrainian drone (Turkish-made Bayraktar)
According to Ukrainian sources the commander of the tank unit that got killed in clashes in Brovary is Andrei Zakharov, who got awarded the order of Courage by Putin in 2016 for his "service" in #Syria en.kremlin.ru/events/preside…
Zakharov, a Major at the time, received the medal during a ceremony rewarding those "who distinguished themselves in the performance of special missions in the Syrian Arab Republic".
Video purportedly showing the missile strike against the airport near Lozuvatka
In a recent update, the Ukrainian army claims to have foiled an attempt to cross the Irpin River near Kyiv, near the town of Moshchun
This is the second attempt to cross the river from this area in recent days, from my count
In its latest update this evening the Ukrainian military claims it was able to recapture the village of Baklanov Muraviyka, south of Chernihiv
A Ukrainian official reported that no one was evacuated today, through the Mariupol "corridor", due to constant shelling by the Russian side. ukrinform.ua/rubric-ato/342…
Kamyanka church near Izyum was hit by Russian shelling #Ukraine
The past 24 hours continue to show that Russian offensives are slowing down and mostly stalled. Still, around Kyiv, Russian forces are making slow/incremental (and costly) progress, in a bid to try and surround the city
From the most recent movements and previous attacks (and this is an assessment) it seems the two tactical objectives of the Russian forces around Kyiv may still be the Vasylkiv and Boryspil airport with offensives in the east and west of Kyiv (map is from @LeBeckInt's coverage)
There were some interesting info in the Ukrainian military update overnight. Broadly, my understanding Russian forces appear to have been able to cross the E40, west of Kyiv in an effort to surround the city. They likely took significant losses, but this is still notable.
Both the Ukrainian and Russian military updates mentioned the town of Nizhyn. Russia claims it took the city, Ukraine reported continued clashes.
This is an important town, as Russian forces are trying to link up south of Chernihiv and east of Konotop.
The Ukrainian military released several notable details its midnight update. According to the update, Russian forces continue to amass, around Kyiv, including its "most capable" units, such as Kadyrov's Special Guards Regiment.
Notably, from the update and other reports, it seems yesterday Russian forces attempted several attacks, including in Irpin, but also north of it (across the Irpin river), and east of Kyiv in the direction of Brovary.
Russia is clearly probing Ukrainian defensive lines.
Meanwhile, the Ukrainian army reported several notable developments overnight. The first is the full recapture of Chuhuiv, near Kharkiv. Despite Russian heavy shelling, Ukrainian forces there are not only able to hold off Russia, but also counter-attack.
In its last update, the Ukrainian military reported several Russian movements east of Kyiv, including in an effort to advance towards the area between Borsipyl and Brovary (map is just to show these two positions).
Russian forces are also amassing in the Kozelets area, while also trying to advance towards the Kaniv Hydroeletric Power Plant (they are still quite far, from my understanding of their position).
