@TheTechRabbi @TheTechRabbi : I don't know many ppl who spend 6-8 hours in #VR each day yet.

#FTTE
@TheTechRabbi @TheTechRabbi sees #Web3 as built on
access, experience, and ownership.

#FTTE
@TheTechRabbi @Durff and @ideaspacesnet : why #Web3 when we already have web1 and 2?

#FTTE
@TheTechRabbi @Durff @ideaspacesnet @TheTechRabbi :
-search bubbles are a problem
-we outsourced ownership to giant platforms
-interoperability limits between verticals

#FTTE
@TheTechRabbi @Durff @ideaspacesnet @TheTechRabbi : we're in web2.1 now.
Not web3 yet.

Disturbing report on heart damage from #COVID19 .
Key finding: heart problems were able to hit any infected people, not just those with comorbidities.

publichealth.jhu.edu/2022/covid-and…
"people who did not have any heart problems start with, were athletic, did not have a high BMI, were not obese, did not smoke, did not have kidney disease or diabetes—even in people who were previously healthy and had no risk factors or problems with the heart..."

(2/3)
"—COVID-19 affected them in such a way that manifested the higher risk of heart problems than people who did not get COVID-19."

@roxannriskin is a genius with (among other things) screen grabs:

@roxannriskin Question about partnering with Solid or web3c.

#FTTE
@roxannriskin @busynessgirl compares #Web3 to QR codes. A slow adoption curve is ahead, until a major event pushes them to the forefront. QR and blockchain are too weird for most folks.

There's a fascinating and at times depressing sketch of campuses responding to Delta at @insidehighered this morning:

insidehighered.com/news/2021/09/2…
@insidehighered "Colleges without mandates -- located in different geographical regions -- include Pennsylvania State University, which as of Monday reported a 67 percent student vaccination rate..."

Just 2/3rds.
@insidehighered "the University of Alabama... reported that at least 61 percent of students and 73 percent of employees had received at least one dose of a vaccine at its main campus in Tuscaloosa."

Flying in the US gives me a sense of a nation struggling to keep going. Flailing, not advancing.
It feels like an exhausted country waiting for something better.
People aren't rebelling much. I have only seen one angry man, wearing a t-shirt designed in bullets and quietly furious at anyone who talked with him.
