Whether China-US relations can return to the track of healthy and stable development depends on whether the US side can honor its commitments.

China and the US have maintained close communication on the #UkraineCrisis, and we have common understanding on realizing #ceasefire & peace and providing #HumanitarianAid. But we have different views on how to promote #peacetalks and realize lasting security in Europe.

There are many challenges in the #ChinaUS relationship. We don’t want to see it become the collateral damage of the #Ukraine crisis.

It takes more than one cold day for a river to freeze three feet deep. There is complex history behind the #Ukraine issue, and people should look back to three decades ago when the #Soviet Union disintegrated.

China takes not a neutral, but an objective, impartial and responsible position on the #Ukraine issue.

China is not a party directly involved in the #UkraineCrisis. The US and #NATO have been talking with #Russia for many years, but war still broke out. It is something worth contemplating, and people should not shift #blame to China.

China and #Russia have normal economic and energy trade. We don’t want to see any #sanctions on China, but if they do happen, we will respond resolutely to defend our legitimate interests.

China's relations with #Russia shouldn't be regarded as a liability but an asset&opportunity in resolving #UkraineCrisis. If China copied the US/Western way, then China would lose its leverage & channel on the issue, which would be unhelpful & counterproductive for peace talks

#ChinaRussia cooperation has no limits, but it does have a bottom line, that is the purposes and principles of the UN Charter, international law and basic norms governing international relations. These are also the guideline for China to deal with relations with any country.

The #Taiwan question is totally different from the Ukraine issue. Taiwan is part of China. The Taiwan question is China’s internal affairs, while the Ukraine crisis is between two sovereign states.

If you believe in the principles of national sovereignty and territorial integrity on the Ukraine issue while ignoring them when it comes to China's core interests, that will be #DoubleStandards.

The #UkraineCrisis has made the global economy more difficult, and China, as a member of the global village, has also been seriously impacted.

The most important task for China is to realize its second #centenary goal, so we need to focus on economic and social development. What we need now is a peaceful and stable external environment.

It is imperative for China and the US to implement the common understanding of our Presidents, especially what President Biden stated, i.e. the US does not seek a new #ColdWar with China; it does not aim to change China’s system;

the revitalization of its alliances is not targeted at China; the US does not support “Taiwan independence”; and it has no intention to seek a conflict with China. In this way there will be fewer roller-coaster fluctuations and more stability in #ChinaUS relations.
