First, let’s get out of the way of what NOT to do

👉🏻 “Just bumping this up”
👉🏻 “Hey have you seen this?”
👉🏻 “ are you still there?”

These CAN work but there are ways that will work much better
We always want to follow up with value

👉🏻 “Hey John, I came across this article that I thought may help you with X problem you mentioned, give it a read and let me know what you think”

👉🏻 “John, meet Josh, he is looking for more leads which I know you help people with”
👉🏻 “I made this quick audit over your sales process and changes I’d make, do you have 15 minutes this week to go over them?”

👉🏻 “I listened to your podcast and I resonated with XYZ, I’d love to do X for you for free to learn from you”

Notice the trend?
All of these bring VALUE and are PERSONALIZED and show you paid attention

Can you just copy and paste “just bumping this up?” Yes

But you will get SO many more clients, mentors, and important relationships built thru following up this way
If I didn’t do this, I personally wouldn’t have the business partners I have today

Do your due diligence on people. If they see you listened to their podcast, joined their email list and related, and took your time to learn about them and what they need

Selling will be easier
Go through your CRM and do this

Google your leads

Find them on LinkedIn, YouTube, Facebook, PR articles, podcasts, make personalized follow ups

Two years ago today I was taking sales calls during ANY break I had in college 7 days a week

Today I’ve made $3,000 before Noon

What changed?

2 years ago, every time I got paid it was like Christmas

I was so excited to get paid and I just wanted to hold onto that $ and grow the bank acc

this led to

Starting Closify, we didn’t even pay ourselves until like July (we started it in Feb)

Until then, 100% of money was reinvested and still now we reinvest most money back into the biz

If you’re doing at least $5k/m

I’m going to break down a few things you’re probably not doing that will get you to 10, 20, 30, 50k per month in a few months

First things first, if you haven’t already, hire out lead gen

If you’re an email marketing agency -> @andrehaykaljr hire him.

Basically anything else -> @NickAbraham12 leadbird (I personally use them)

this is the first hire you need to make and you’ll see why
They are going to help you figure out lead sourcing and scripts that work

This is HUGE. For us we found a few different lead lists to scrape that work well and a super simple script that worked well (this is in July 2021)

But outside of equity partners, hire good and never hire cheap

Step 1: Nail down your offer, do outbound prospecting yourself and take sales calls yourself and collect feedback

I was doing this February- April and we were able to nail down a super solid offer we knew was a no brainer
Step 2: Hire an outbound company, we hired leadbird.io for about 3 months

They found lead sourcing and scripts that worked SUPER well for us (our response rate was insane)

We took what they were doing and made super clear cut SOP’s
