After previous pandemics, e.g. SARS, it's normal practice to update & strengthen global health security & overall preparedness
The International Health Regulations were updated & adopted in 2005, coming into force in 2007.

All 194 WHO member nations have a legal obligation to uphold the IHR (2005), but this doesn't mean the WHO can interfere or bypass national sovereignty.

If the IHR is supposed to underpin a new pandemic treaty, then it *should be* impossible to interfere with the sovereignty of other nations domestic legislation, & the IHR must respect this.

Why would any democracy *allow* a private/public funded entity like the #WHO to interfere with their nations sovereignty in such a way that is outlined by Dr. Lawrie above.
