Benton was among the signatories of a 2020 letter to The Telegraph from the hard-right "Common Sense Group" of Tory MPs, accusing the @nationaltrust of being "coloured by cultural Marxist dogma" - Cultural Marxism is the antisemitic conspiracy theory that inspired Anders Breivik!
In 2021, we found out freeloader Benton was one of 9 MPs who had accepted tickets to high-profile sporting events as hospitality from betting & gambling companies, including Royal Ascot, two Euro 2020 football games, & the Wimbledon tennis tournament.

In response to the death of Arthur Labinjo-Hughes, contributed to by relentless Tory Govt underfunding of, & cuts to public services, in December 2021 Benton again revealed his far-right, immoral & dangerously unhinged credentials when he voiced his support of the death penalty.
Inevitably - again in typical Tory fashion - in January 2021 Benton was found to have broken parliamentary rules.

When asked about the allegations in November 2020, the pathetic gaslighting snowflake Benton said that "an admin error" meant his income from Calderdale Council was not properly declared, & whined about "vexatious & deeply unpleasant" complaints about his conduct.
The Commissioner found Brenton had indeed breached the rules.
After the complaint was upheld, Benton, like Johnson, gave a typical Tory non-apology: "I would like to take this opportunity to acknowledge my mistake & apologise once again for inadvertently breaching the rules."

There's an abundance of evidence to support the view that Scott Benton is indeed a far-right liar, after falsely claiming on #PoliticsLive that the “vast majority of people coming across the Channel are economic migrants”. No doubt he'll be promoted soon!
