Former US Marine Trevor Reed has been exchanged for Konstantin Yaroshenko.

The Russian pilot is serving a 20-year sentence for conspiracy to smuggle cocaine into the US after his arrest in 2010. Reed was recently sentenced to 9 years in prison for assaulting a officer in Moscow. ImageImage
It looks like the prisoner exchange happened in Ankara, #Turkey (🇹🇷) earlier today.

Two RAAF E-3 Wedgetails out of Nellis AFB, Nevada (🇺🇸). 'THDR01' is currently flying around the Nevada Security sites while 'ASY253' seems to be returning to Australia (🇦🇺).

Looks like I was wrong on 'ASY253' since that aircraft is landing at Vandenberg Space Force Base.

'THDR01' seems to be returning to Nellis AFB. Image
*E-7 Wedgetails 🤦🏼‍♂️

USAF KC-135R in a racetrack pattern near the Kennedy Space Center, Florida (🇺🇸).

Likely to support fighter jets patrolling the skies ahead of the Crew-4 launch. A Blackhawk helicopter is circling above the shoreline as well.

More than 20 countries (mostly NATO and EU) will meet at Ramstein AB (🇩🇪) today to discuss long-term defense issues regarding #Ukraine (🇺🇦).

Extended weapon supplies, long-term defence relationships or in other words: a very important meeting.
An overview of military VIP aircraft heading to or landing at Ramstein Air Base this morning.

Not entirely sure about the Norwegian C-130, but it's heading (and descending) to Ramstein.
A USAF C-32B Gatekeeper is also at Ramstein AB.

The C-32B provides clandestine airlift for special operations (🕵️‍♂️🤫) and global emergency response efforts

This is interesting: a group of seven Cessna's are flying above the #Poland (🇵🇱) - #Ukraine (🇺🇦) border.

It looks like they are monitoring the border area? Image
At least three of them are flying with Elmontex Air (🇨🇿) and one is registered in the Netherlands (🇳🇱).

Most of them are flying above southeastern Poland for a few days now, but I’ve never seen them so close to the border together.
Some possibilities on what they are doing:
- flight school with an ill chosen flight route
- mapping the border area / aerial survey
- monitoring the border (ISR)

Seven aircraft is quite a lot for aerial survey or ISR, but it would be a weird place for a flight school route. 🤷🏼‍♂️

Two USAF RC-135 Cobra Ball aircraft are returning to Eielson AFB, Alaska (🇺🇸) from a ~6 hours long mission.

The aircraft are used to observe (ballistic) missile flights at long range.

SUMO11 // 61-2663 // #AE01D6
DOLLY27 // 62-4128 // #AE01D7 Image
The two aircraft likely monitored the first test of #Russia’s (🇷🇺) RS-28 Sarmat ICBM.

It’s quite rare to see two Cobra Ball aircraft working together, so I think the United States (🇺🇸) really wanted to get a lot of data on the missile.

Thanks to @spook_info for pointing this (the missile test) out!

NASA’s C-130 aircraft is heading to #Sweden (🇸🇪) to deliver materials for upcoming high-altitude balloon tests.

The aircraft landed at Goose Bay, northeastern #Canada (🇨🇦) earlier today and will likely cross the Atlantic Ocean in the coming days.

The aircraft will fly to Stockholm, Sweden later today.
NASA's C-130 is up above the Atlantic Ocean on its way to Sweden.

Looks like it won't fly above the Netherlands ☹️
