Images of some villages freed in #Kyiv region, specifically #Bucha, are devastating. Dead people lying outside of their houses, in what can only have been a “zachistka” - systemic execution of the men of each house. This is genocide. ⤵️
The least the West could do is formally recognize Vladimir Putin for what he is: an international criminal. If it does not, its longstanding commitments to the rule of law and basic human decency will be called into question.
Throughout Putin’s 22-year rule, Russia has repeatedly acted with impunity, blackmailing the world with the tacit threat of nuclear retaliation.
