#Israeli and Turkish intelligence services thwarted an Iranian plot to target Israeli interests in #Turkey
According to this report the incident happened around a month ago. Israeli intelligence warned their Turkish counterpart of the plot kan.org.il/item/?itemId=1…
Around two weeks ago, Israel also issued a travel warning regarding Iranian plots to target Israelis, including in #Turkey. The threat still persists, despite the thwarting of a plot around a month ago.
According to a senior Israeli official, the attack would have included an attempted abduction.
Barak Ravid quotes a senior Israeli source indicating several IRGC operatives were arrested by Turkish security forces
We're entering a dangerous phase, as public interest is dipping, while the economic cost of the war is increasing.
There is a clear decrease in media and public interest for the war - something that was entirely predictable yet still unfortunate.
News outlets are starting to pull their reporters out #Ukraine (staying in Ukraine is costly). Ukrainian fixers were high in demands a few weeks back, it's not the case anymore
A report in Israeli media claims that the air force made a significant breakthrough that would enable the F-35 to carry out long-range strike (understand against Iran) without refueling, while also carrying a one-ton bombs news.walla.co.il/item/3510666
The need to refuel aircraft participating in a strike, and necessity to find a suitable bomb to target deeply entrenched/underground facilities in Iran were two of the main problems Israel faced when it comes to a strike against #Iran.
I very much doubt this report just "happen" to be released now, given the timing, after the long-range drills in Cyprus (which the article mentions) and as JCPOA talks are at an impasse. Israel is building up a military option
The Ukrainian military says that this morning the Russian army fired five Kh-22 cruise missile from the Caspian Sea towards Kyiv. One of the missiles was shot down.
The Russian Ministry of Defense claimed that it hit a car repair factory that was used to store T-72 tanks supplied by East European countries.
(Not sure why the hell the tanks would be in there...)
The Ukrainian side did report that several cruise missiles hit the Darnytsya car repair plant this morning.
The #US hesitations regarding the delivery of advanced long-range MLRS to #Ukraine really shows that the West hasn't grasped how decisions are made in Moscow, months after the beginning of the war.
It still astonishes me that we're trying to find the "line" between what's "acceptable" for Putin, and what's not. We're pondering and hesitating because "may be this will cross a line" and Russia will respond, but we have evidence that this is not how Moscow behaves.
I have already tried to highlight this major flaw at the beginning of the conflict, when a major British newspaper asked "where will he [Putin] stop?". There is no line, Putin will not stop he will 𝙗𝙚 stopped.
