Diane Langberg’s message to victims of abuse was egregious.
To show you why, I'm going to re-phrase what she said at #Restore22, julieroys.com/podcast/diane-…. My paraphrase is legitimate, fair and just, given that Langberg was speaking to an audience of victims.

Langberg's message to victims/survivors of abuse:
If you ignore your impact on others, if you start excusing yourself, if you are complicit in things that are not godly because you think it furthers the kingdom, you are deceiving yourself. You are a wolf in the making!

Victims of abuse, you will not see wolves clearly unless you tend to your own wolf-like character or tendencies. Unless you curtail your own wolf-like character or tendencies, you will excuse wolves.

Victims, if your measure for a leader is a powerful preacher who teaches excellent doctrine, you will excuse any immorality, bullying & egocentricity in that leader. You'll excuse it because you have some of those characteristics yourself, and you think you’re not too bad.

That’s how you miss wolves, victims of abuse. You have the flavour of wolf in your own life.

I found @PhilipGMonroe's talk far better than Langberg's.
Why? Philip made it clear which part of the audience he was speaking to in each section of his talk: he differentiated between helpers and survivors.
