No major changes whatsoever. Ru are trying to improve their positions in some areas. Heavy arty shellings still ongoing in #Kharkiv Oblast and #Severodonetsk area and everywhere they want to advance but can't do much about it..

2/ The Amazing and Grandiose Russian is still stuck in the #Izyum #Sloviansk direction because of tiny villages for 20 days now (for #Bohorodychne ) and some others for 40 days... speaks volume of their "power". Hence my love of showing specific topo map with no change of date.

3/ on a more serious note :
on the #Lysychansk #Lyssytschansk #Lysichansk #Лисичанськ the situation this morning seems a bit better than yesterday evening. but it's hard to have a real idea about what's going on because lots of mouvement back and forth. Maybe more news tonight.

4/ According to Gaidai (#Luhansk governor) it seems that some major attacks on some areas during the night were pushed back.. which sounds good to me..
uncertain of some other places and where russians still stands. so they are not surrounding the city - at all- for now.

5/ The only certain thing is that russian soldiers are well in #Privilya #Pryvillia #Привілля which clearly means that Ukrainians do not want to stay in the area and do not want to fight longer than necessary. Also never a "good sign" when no official talks about it.

6/ ok quick note : let me be cristal clear - as said here for the last week, Ukrainians are moving out. they are not interested in staying in #Lysichansk. the only thing is they have to fight and be careful, not to flee away to do it in good order with minimum casualties. so

7/ this is the reason why they are letting Russians going up north. don't "blink" because you see tomorrow some russians with pictures of themselves in the north of the city...
they are fighting the south line to avoid being trapped but globally they are moving out everything .

8/ this tactical retreat has been planned and is executed for days. so suddenly in 48 or 72hours you might heard Russians saying like they did for Zolote/Girske that they close the pocket etc.. but there would be no one left there. like in Severodonetsk with NO prisoners!

9/ so i understand it is a bit painfull to witness but as said several time the city of Lyssichansk cannot hold by herself. Ukr are just avoiding Russian advances in the bottle neck near #Verkhnokamyanka
Also they need very well trained troops to do such moves in good order..

12/ Mini thread as i see no one speaking about it... (journos and twittos loves to report big explosion because it "sells") but it is still very important for #Ukrainians in terms of civilian life.. so let's refocus here on the #Sumy area.

13/ Now for a week we learned more from Sumy governor and that Russian have used on top of that dozens of missile not only on Sumy but also remote mines dispensers rocket that are causing damages in local populations (i made a quick map) to visualize areas of concerns :

14/ so it is clear now (we previously knew about this passive-agressive actions from Russia there in order to pin down some good troops) that they also want, piece by piece to force Ukraine civilians out of an area that appears as quite obvious now.
in total (i did not put all

15/ datas on the map, but more than 270 mines last couple of days and maybe thousands this past month.
so this zone, is clearly a target for Russia, not to conquer anymore, but to force people out. and i fear they will carry on for a long time...
