This will have a far reaching effect on the Indian Army blunting its combat potential and equating with organizations like the Indian Railways as a mass employment generating pool for political gains .

Effects of such trends has been seen in the current #Ukraine conflict w 🇷🇺

Till 1951 - 4 years after Partition of Indian Subcontinent : people from West #Bengal and East #Pakistan could travel across without any visas Possibly there was nothing like @BSF_India then . Agriculture , goods were exchanged , fields harvested Was it similar in West Pakistan?
@SatyaDharmaa come to think of it why did this situation continue in the eastern part and not in the western part of the subcontinent ? What did the Bombay Club merchants and their mentors in England really achieve ? Ultimately British ran after Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose chased
Them and INA created the atmospherics in the minds of English / British to cut and run . Talk talk by Americans helped to accelerate the process .

But what happened post December 1971 ? People still travelled back and forth between #Bangladesh & West #Bengal But now with visas

Cannot sustain their governments with petrol and diesel taxes alone .. it is a shame that they are / have not been able to reduce the size of governments despite high technology available Civilians should be let off. Governments cannot tinker with Armed Forces with Tour of Duty🤑
Mass scale reductions should happen in all Government departments to get a moribund economy moving Instead government tries tinkering within the Armed Forces first - it is easy - to seemingly cut costs in the eyes of the public at the cost of security . Politicians & bureaucrats

ESM Ex Servicemen Management and their minimal needs of Pension , Medicare has become a hugely complicated bureacratic exercise by Government of India 🇮🇳 With 100s of rules ,cards and changes it has become a nightmare for many veterans with no end in sight @HQ_IDS_India @adgpi
I think , no country has such complicated systems in existence Further access to cantonments has become a hassle

#SPARSH an empire building exercise , supported by quivering elected ones not knowing exactly what to do in their glide to luxury flying around on Persian Carpets
#ECHS is another such anathema

Compare this to organizations like the @ONGC_ which is a million times better than the service meted out to the Ex Servicemen who leave the Armed Forces of India
