Don’t go burning that Passport just yet 🔥
If you’ve spent any time doing deep dives in #fintwit or on YouTube, you’ve likely come across a few people offering you the service of separating you from your money and your US citizenship.
The prominent players in this space use some kind of take on the words #nomad & #Sovereign They boast lavish lifestyles in Banana Republics were you can escape the regime of the United States Government and its tax code.
I won’t lie, these guys hooked me… line & sinker. I immediately had the urge to torch my passport and sail away to the Caribbean. Their content, after all, is one big sales pitch.
After the short lived exhilaration, my better judgement kicked back in immediately after I started to see all the lies in their propositions for saying goodbye to Uncle Sam and setting up camp in some country ending with a “Stan”
They all use the narrative of the US balance sheet as to why we’re all doomed to a future of a tax slave. But fail to miss one HUGE problem in their logic.. The counties they’re bragging about being free from US tyranny ALL have US Dollars and Treasuries as their reserves! LMAO
EVERY monetary & fiscal adjustment the US makes directly affects the countries that hold their reserves. Which IS A TAX! It’s the worst position to put yourself in. Giving up your constitutional protection but still being taxed to keep it enforced.
They claim to be well versed in the inner workings of the US monetary and fiscal systems, but fail to mention anything about reserves. Even our adversaries keep #dollars as reserves. #russia really got burned on that…
They even pitch #eurozone countries as tax heavens. You really think you’re escaping taxes by telling Uncle Sam to shove it and moving to Portugal? The #Euro losing 15% of its value this year alone is obviously a tax, but you got to turn you #bitcoin into euros tax free.#winning
You could argue that the American Empire’s reach is unjust and I’d probably agree with you, but that doesn’t change the fact that it’s still taxing you. You simply can’t escape it. As Benjamin Franklin said “nothing is certain but death and taxes”.
One site, brags about the owners ability of obtaining a “1% tax rate” after burning his US passport & moving abroad. But doesn’t bother to tell you that the very clientele his after, the mega wealthy, all best that while living stateside & enjoying constitutional protections…
I’m not trying to deter anyone from living the nomad lifestyle, becoming more resilient to statist laws, and traveling the world. All of which I do.
You simply just don’t need to burden yourself with the hardships these people are pitching you in order to obtain more freedom, increase your income and lower your taxes.
The idea of 50 autonomous states is still alive and well. It has its problems no doubt but the opportunities and protections it offers are unmatched anywhere else on the globe. Again, you’re getting taxed to secure its constitution. Why not get/keep it’s opportunity & protection?

Sorry, but it’s probably true. You see in our weird little experiment we call The Economy, our overlords have only two ways to grow or slow it’s progress.
1.Managing employment
2.Managing prices

This is known as the Federal Reserve’s Dual Mandate. You can read more about that here:
