The bridge proposals are up on #Osmosis governance. But why do we need to select a "canonical bridge provider" in the first place? A quick educative thread on the basics 🧵
#Cosmos (like Polkadot) is an ecosystem of interoperable blockchains. It is optimised for connecting chains that deploy on them natively, e.g Juno & Osmosis on Cosmos, or Moonbeam & Acala on Polkadot.
Chains built with the Tendermint consensus & Cosmos SDK are IBC compatible out of the box, so the whole Cosmos ecosystem can plug in quickly and happily communicate.

Today we released @HashiCorp #Nomad v0.12.2 which includes a new scaling events timeline. I wanted to talk about some of the small #a11y details that went into its design and implementation.

✨ thread ✨ The scaling timeline in Nomad v0.12.2. A green area chart wi
Line charts are designed for visual consumption, but that doesn't mean we can't provide some screen reader support. Plus a11y covers more than just sight.

The thesis here will be that making accessible interfaces isn't typically hard work but it takes paying constant attention.
To start, consider the ticks on the axes of a line chart. These are SVG text elements which will be read by a screen reader by default. Since the line itself won't be read out loud, the ticks are reference material without the context. The fix here is to make the axes hidden. Two svg g elements with aria-hidden="true".

I started playing #guitar in college. Some of my friends back home played, so I thought I'd learn. It's been years since I kept up with it. With no job and an empty house, I had time. Plus, I could crank up my amp. Ava would have hated it. All the more reason to do it.

Strumming a few chords or playing a riff through a loud amp usually makes me feel better. It's more of a distraction this time. My amp is a little old. Even a #ragpicker might pass on it. "If you're not going to play it, sell it," Ava nagged. Life always got in the way.
