The US claim to have credible evidence that a #Russian military unit operating in the vicinity of #Donetsk/#Novomykhailivka executed #Ukrainians who were attempting to surrender, rather than take them into custody.

Russian outlets claim that Ukrainian Nationalists opened fire on 30+ servicemen of the 54th Mechanized Brigade of the UAF.

FACT
Dozens of surrendering #Ukrainian Armed Forces soldiers were shot by #Russian soldiers of the 71st Motorized Regiment in mid-June.
These executions are part of a mounting list of war crimes #Russia has been accused of committing.

This FRIENDLY FIRE event occurred in the Kherson region on May 27 2022.
We believe the missile was fired from a known Russian SA-23 SAM System located at:

Ukrainian forces destroying a Russian R-330Zh Zhitel jamming station.
This electronic warfare (EW) system is designed for detection, analysis, locating & jamming of satellite & cellular equipment operating in 100-2000MHz range.

Before the invasion, in 2019 there was an sharp increase in R-330Zh jamming activity in eastern Ukraine, marked by drone losses in the Donbas region.

Previously, numerous EW units such as the Zhitel were sighted around the borders of Ukraine.
System consists of electronics vehicle (6x6 chassis), & trailer for diesel-electric power station & four telescopic active phased array transmitter antennas.

Azimuth search coverage: -90-120°
Elevation search coverage: -15 - +20°
Jam range: 20-30km (terrain/condition dependent)

The BTR-80 (from Russian 'бронетранспортёр' meaning armored transporter) is an 8x8 wheeled amphibious armored personnel carrier.

Its main armament can elevate to a maximum of 60 degrees, attacking from above this angle will provide the attacker cover from fire.
RPG-7V2

A portable, reusable, unguided, shoulder-launched, anti-tank, rocket-propelled grenade launcher.

It has an effective range of 330m and a maximum range of 700m. The warhead self-detonates at approx 900m.

It is the most widely-used anti-tank weapon in the world.
