Moreshwar portrays Ganesh ji riding peacock . Ganesh ji is believed to have killed the demon Sindhu at this very spot. The murti has its trunk turned to the left. Here he is accompanying by wives devi Riddhi and devi siddhi.
It is 2nd of the Ashtavinayaka mandirs.
The unique thing about this murti is that this is the only one among the Ashtavinayaks murties in which the trunk turned to the right.
Ganesh ji is believed to have saved his bhakt Ballal who was beaten up by his father & villagers for his great devotion to him.
The murti is seated on a throne carved & has diamonds embedded in the eyes & his trunk pointing to left.
Ganesha resides in this temple as the bestower of bounty and success. His idol was discovered in the adjoining lake.

Ganesh ji is believed to have retrieved the precious gem, Chintamani, from the avaricious sage Kapila, at this very spot.
