Creativity is the MOST important skill you can have.
If you were about to click away because you don’t vibe with the word creativity, hold up.
People THINK they aren’t creative, but they’re wrong. We all have it in us.
Here’s how to be more creative…
But first I want to start with a story, about a guy named Steve Jobs. You may have heard of him…
Returning to Apple after Pixar, Jobs knew that talking about tech features wasn’t the way to sell computers. That’s why his first computer, Lisa, failed so badly.
To succeed…
Apple had to come up with a totally new marketing strategy.
So Jobs hired a team that would do exactly that. They launched the #thinkdifferent campaign.
Jobs said yes to doing the opposite of what every other tech company was doing.
And it saved the company
This story is a perfect the example of the steps you can take to be more creative. Here they are…
1. Think different.
Also called lateral thinking. Thinking outside the box. Innovating.
Creativity is NOT just about art, it’s a way of thinking. That’s why everyone can do it.
Don’t accept anything at face value. Question everything. Even when you think you know something, find a different way of looking at it.
Creativity often means throwing out old truths and replacing it with new truths.
But how to actually do this?
I’m glad you asked…
2. Stay curious.
Tap into your inner child and ask why over and over again. Crave to know every angle. Desire to find the best solution for your problem.
Ask why we do it that way? What if I did it this way instead?
Asking questions develops a unique way of looking at things
This trait has always separated the innovators in a crowd. I mean, do you want be an assembly line human and think like everyone else? Or do you want to create change?
But being this creative is not without risk.
That’s why you need to…
3. Be bold.
Good ideas don’t happen by playing safe.
The ‘Think Different’ pitch was so contrary to every other marketing strategy at the time. If the team had played it safe, Apple may have never recovered.
Accept that not all your ideas will land. Take risks anyways!
4. Be okay with failure.
For every brilliant idea, there are a dozen bad ones in the graveyard. That’s what you want!
To get to the treasure you have to wade through a stinky swamp.
I look at failed ideas as information that helps me find the right answer.
5. Join a community
Creativity does best with company.
Yes, sometimes (often), I isolate myself in order to do some of my best work. But I need the power of a collective to be effective.
That’s why I founded DragonForge. We create better together than we ever could alone.
Do-creation is an experience that everyone seeking to be more creative should have.
Collaborating with like-minded folks is euphoric. It’s energising & motivating.
The right community will help you feel seen. Your abilities will be validated, & you will be empowered to succeed.
6. Do the work.
This is often the hardest part, I know. You HAVE to practice
It starts with setting the intention to hone your creative skills, and then checking in with yourself several times a day to make sure your goal of being more creative is still front of mind.
The mind needs exercise to be its best.
If you’re not used to thinking creatively, or you don’t do it often, it’s normal to feel strained. It’s like doing a workout after being a professional couch potato.
Stick with it, though, because the rewards are really worth it…
A creative mind solves complex problems in new ways.
This is great professionally and personally.
Your confidence will grow because you’ll know that no matter what life throws your way, you’ll be able to find a solution.
Your creative mind will get you through tough times.
You will see the World in new and inspiring ways.
Have you ever seen a child look at the world in wonder? Imagine never losing that spark, or finding it again.
Creativity improves your wellbeing. I believe it completes us Human beings.

Why I decided to launch a cryptocurrency/social token called $DGN on the Solana Blockchain, and why many companies & creators will do it too in the future. 🧵 🧵 🧵 👇 #blockchain#cryptocurrencies#DGN#Tokenomics#Web3
The last 10 years saw the rise of social media. The next decade will see the rise of the social token, cryptos launched by creators and businesses that will give them more control in their ecosystems and better opportunities to create relationships with their communities.
$DGN is not a shit coin, or a meme coin. We call it a social token because it’s not DeFi either. It’s more like Web3 Patreon. You hold $DGN and you get more access to me and what I’m building. I have tiers of membership. And instead of paying monthly you only pay once.
GM creative Dragons! We’re phasing out the discord economy and replacing is with $DGN, our own social token. Those of you who have been accumulating discord coins will have first access to some new #DragonForge collectibles, including this beauty!
If not all editions are claimed, they will be purchasable with $DGN once we launch. You have until the end of October to accumulate more discord coins before we remove that feature.
To get the most out of $DGN, you make make a Social Connector account. It’s a software that rewards you for engaging in our tweets. So when you like our tweets we send you some $DGN as a thank you. Future merch and services will also be available through $DGN 👇
DragonForge is a #storytellingnft. More accurately, we’re a brand that uses #NFTs to give our members special access and support.
We’re making an adventure show for teens that adults will love. #DragonForge is not your typical animation, because it is being created by our members
The #story follows a #Dragon named Ember & his friends as they find their way home after a magical pendant strands them in another reality. But what begins as a journey home turns into a quest to save their world…
