Why is The Base such a threat? Because they are not one specific group of extremists - they are a group that joins any like-minded extremist and accelerationist groups for para-military irl training in preparation for a future race war. #AnonymousHateWatch #Anonymous #EndRacism
A 2019 article on The Base comparing it to Jihadism. The Base translates to "Al-Qaeda" in Arabic.
The Base gained attention after an alleged member, Patrik Matthews, fled illegally from Canada to join other members in the eastern United States. A major concern was that the Canadian reservist was trained in explosives.
Matthews would become a target of the same men he was plotting with to murder a high-profile Antifa couple. The men decided he was not very intelligent and would be a threat to their secrecy. As a result they planned to kill him, too.
The Base had (has?) associations with groups like The Atomwaffen Division, a violent neo-nazi group with members in the United States and other countries.
In 2021, a man with ties to The Base as well as The Atomwaffen Division, wanted to share bomb-making tips, not knowing he was actually speaking to undercover feds.
Luke Austin Lane, arrested & convicted (see above tweets), went by the online id The Militant Buddhist. Jacob Kaderli was convicted and sentenced w/him & went by the id "Pestilence". He was a popular figure on the nazi website The Fascist Forge.
What can you do to stand up against militant extremist groups like The Base? Easy ~ if you see something, say something. Report any possible physical threats to authorities. For safety's sake, don't publicize that you have.
#Trump supporters are attempting a forceful overthrow at #CapitalHill. They're standing on government vehicles, the capital's been breached, armed stand-offs, broken windows... These are #MAGA and far-right extremist/jate groups, & Trump refuses 2 tell them 2 stand back. #DCRiot
