Yesterday Israel's army raided the village of Al-Jawaya (because nothing necessitates a military raid like the task of handing out a piece of paper) in Masafer Yatta, and notified 5 families that it plans to destroy their homes and three water wells.

Israel's crime against humanity, working slowly but methodically to ethnically cleanse the 2500 indigenous Palestinian children, women, and men of Masafer Yatta, is sanctioned- again and again- by its supremest of courts.
Procedure & restraint however were never Israel's strong suit,so while the army handed out copies of military orders on Sunday,informing people their lives are about to be deliberately destroyed, it actually started the destruction on Wednesday, last week.
Because Israel never really required a court order to commit ethnic cleansing. What the army won't do officially, its colonists just do on a whim, and the army can pretend it was involved in safeguarding duty rather than genocide.

I don't use the word lightly. In fact, the removal of an ethnically identified population (un.org/en/genocidepre…) and their replacement with another population (ihl-databases.icrc.org/customary-ihl/…), are two separate sets of war crimes, which together amount to genocide.
And Israel is busy committing sets upon sets of these war crimes for the past 75 years. In October 2022, colonists across occupied indigenous territory celebrated more than 875,000 Israelis colonizing more than 76% of the West Bank.

These 875,000 colonizers comprise 9.7% of Israel's population, and approximately 12% of Israel's Jewish population.
Let that sink in: More than 1 out of every 10 Jewish-Israelis is living outside of Israel. And with an average annual increase rate of 3.7% in the past decade, the number of Israel's colonists in the West Bank is expected to reach a million within 3 years, by August 2026.
Artists, musicians, athletes; don't ignore the erasure of an indigenous people happening right before our eyes. Refuse to entertain ethnic cleansing. #BoycottIsrael!

Holding up its execution rate, Israel opens the first week of 2023 with 4 executions of indigenous Palestinians in the West Bank. Three of them were children. Both Samer Houshiyya (22) & Fuad ‘Aabed (17) were executed with several bullets to the chest.🪡👇
