1/ #Russia planning a "coup" in #Moldova, including direct attacks on gov buildings / hostage-taking /killing (list like early on in Kyiv when noboby believed it) by RU spec ops & men with mil training background working under the guise of “opposition protesters.”
2/ The president added that the security forces of #Moldova are preparing to prevent these provocations (& you can be sure even if no ones talked abt it, but in conjunction with all western intel agencies ally) and are keeping the situation under control.
So as crazy as it sounds
3/ (it's actually both craycray & makes a lot of sense, let me explain)
so for Russia, it is obvious (& we do have actually lots of intel regarding their activities in #Moldova) that they r planning things like that for a long time:
reminder (one of many) usip.org/publications/2…
4/ So this is not only based on the fact that Russia just aim to destabilize this country for itself but because of multiple deeper reasons.
first of, as everyone knows, they r directly bordering the infamous state of #Transnistria so doing so, they would like to take both mil
5/ ressources (even if very little) and men available and maybe try to block the south passage of Ukraine to Romania (many exchanges from this area) & maybe "wait" as the Kremlin (we have heard the voices of ALL the puppets talking about it several time) still want to reach the
6/ limits of the diff occupied oblasts, and then to go for their famous "crazy" Novorossiya "thing".
anyway, so even if the end result will not happen, (because they are planning things like they did with planting fake Sim cards/box during botched FSB ops..) destabilization is
7/ is the first goal.
Also they would love to see that some ressources would be needed to counter this, & this will be less ammo & men able to help to the main front while they are soon intending to really go at it.
(right now Ru men are simply bring in to replace losses)
8/ Also the #Kremlin who had (until they started the war in #Ukraine) a very wide base of "fans" (really almost majority were in awe about the way Putin was presiding his country) is now very concerned all this could "vanish" for ever, so that's also euronews.com/2023/02/06/mol…
9/ another reason why the Kremlin does not want to simply "let it go"
because for him, the Baltics were not a threat, the Belarus is under his belt, Ukraine was his courtyard & the final piece of "protection" was Moldova..
10/ so right now, the Kremlin is going "full throttle" with this story because it is literally a piece on the chessboard they don't want to just let go.
they are deeply trying to burn down all the relations established with Europe. ft.com/content/654a52…
11/ and this is by the way sadly the perfect moment to recall that this country is the poorest in Europe, and like for Ukraine, countries like Germany France or England etc etc did not really gave a flying f. about what could really happen to them....
i mean just remember how
12/ richer than rich Germany wanted to simply bailed out #Greece when they almost "sunk" after their crash & few wanted to save them.
so imagine abt Moldova.
anyway..
but now #France has also a DEEP responsibility (like US)
13/ toward Moldova as @EmmanuelMacron himself said that #France was guarantying Moldova safety.
& because US also did not integrated them into any special deal of protection both of them, are now morally (philosophical meaning) Obliged to support Moldova in the future.
14/ Also and even if i did not made thread about it (too much to do lately) but Russia is planning Exactly the same with Serbia and Kosovo as we speak! & even if Fra/Ger/Italy called Serbia to tell them to stop or it's gonna be "terrible" they do not care.
so same thing..
15/ just to create enough chaos locally even if the impacted "spread areas" is limited, just to take some ressources (Europe is still not doing half what they should do in terms of ammo production/materials etc) out of going to UKR
etc etc.
End for now.
i'll have more infos -

2/ ok... short debrief to what happened yesterday evening. 'plus de peurs que de mal"
What happened is as i said in S-West #Bakhmut to #TchassivYar it was only scouting & probing and they were destroyed easily.
What happened close to #KrasnaHora area is that stupid #Wagner
3/ went "alone" to try to do something major, just because certainly #Prigozhin gave direct orders... but they were not supported from a joint forces ops with regular Ru army.. so they effing "failed". in Some places they even withdraw..
reminder :
2/ can't tell you why #Ukrainian are still there or if they are moving away from there and Russians are moving in... i have some reports but they are "different" let's put it like this, depending on the guy out there reporting. now they are still there... but maybe not for long.
3/ Also i have (i'll try to explain if i have time tomorrow, but my days are crazy right now) some diff reports from guys in the area who are really pissed off with their chain of commands (when commander r "old school" trained ala Ru & don't want to act according to more modern
