* If you've survived #Covid you should have some protection from reinfection, hospitalization, death for 10 mos. (Good time to get medical/dental visits done.) NO GUARANTEES.
*Infection is NOT the preferred path to protection.
*New variants can hit at any time, evading all immunity.
*Avoiding infection is by far best, so #masks are an excellent choice regardless of vaccine or recent infection.
*Spacing booster out a few mos from infection could provide a longer window of protection.
Let me be super clear on this. Infection is never a good thing. You do not EVER want this virus in your body. I've had #LongCovid for 32 months. My husband has had it for 34/35 months. It is life-altering. It's like a body prison, an inescapable forcefield of misery.

"StOp LiViNg In FeAr!" 🧵
As I sit here having just been through the most terrifying autoimmune flare of my life due to the chaos #COVID has hurled my immune system into, I really wish I COULD stop living in fear. Thing is, fearing the thing that caused this is NORMAL. #LongCovid
I would LOVE to be able to visit a doctor, dentist, grocery store, bank, pharmacy, etc. without fearing it may result in many more months of - or possibly permanent - chronic illness. Or worse.
I'd LOVE to be able to schedule routine maintenance on my home, the kind which requires folks to come in, without feeling as if I am trying to DIY a BSL-3 biohazard containment situation because everyone else is acting like #COVID is over. #BringBackMasks
1/ Secondhand cigarette smoke causes chronic illness & death in non-smokers who are exposed. It was subsequently determined that the right to breathe clean air trumps the right to partake in disease-causing behavior in most public spaces. #COVIDisAirborne#COVID19
2/ Covid causes chronic illness & death. This is well-known and documented and yet our government has decided that clean, safe air is not important, including for children and the most vulnerable among us. #COVIDisAirborne#COVID19#LongCovid#LongCovidKids
3/ I don't care if you want to drink in a bar during a pandemic. We don't NEED to go there. We don't NEED to go to a restaurant (though I miss it). But we do NEED healthcare, groceries, jobs, schools. And these should be made as SAFE as possible. #COVIDisAirborne#COVID19
