.#StopWillow Update : As of today, March 7, 2023, the Biden Administration has not officially approved the Willow Project. However, the "Record of Decision" could be announced any moment now. So in the meantime, here are THREE ACTIONS you can take in this critical moment.
1. AMPLIFY these two letters from the Alaskan Native Villages of Nuiqsut & Anaktuvuk Pass! Both Tribes have written to @Interior to state their opposition to Willow & have asked for stronger consultation. Find both letters here: ndnco.cc/CPINLFN & ndnco.cc/WPTTCH
2. Sign this petition to tell @POTUS to #StopWillow ! So far this petition has garnered over 3 million signatures. Lets get it to 4M ! change.org/p/joseph-r-bid…
3. Tweet, call, or write to your state lawmakers to support this letter from Congress and Senate members asking @POTUS to #StopWillow. We applaud @RepRaulGrijalva and @SenMarkey for leading this letter and all those who have signed so far!

Leonard Peltier (Anishinaabe & Dakota) has spent over 4 decades of his life behind bars for murder that he did not commit. Now, the prison system has failed to provide him adequate care & protection against #COVID19.

Some context for our panel on Native Voting at @Netroots_Nation:

Demographically, there are 5.2 million Native Americans from the 2010 census. There are over 700 tribes in this country, 573+ federally recognized , over 200 state recognized tribes. #NN20
Tribal nations in aggregate are the 13th largest employer in the nation and we manage approximately 56 million acres of land held in trust by the U.S. Government. #NN20
Over the year there have been two Native American Presidential Forums where we brought together tribal leaders, citizens, political candidates to talk about issues of importance in Indian Communities, such as #MMIW , #ClimateChange, Media Representation. msnbc.com/all-in/watch/e…
