2/ I have Jewish friends- they’ve white skin outwardly.
The only thing that identifies their Jewishness is “name” and of course when they literally tell you “I’m Jewish”
Is it antisemitic to say “a white Jewish person is able to use their white skin to shield away from racism”

3/ As far as I am concerned #DianeAbbott ‘s discussion centred around “our outward appearance influences the way racism/prejudice can be used to harm minorities”
Most Jewish people I know (directly) are white skinned, until they told me they’re Jewish - I’d no idea whatsoever🤷🏾♂️

4/ There are people with Jewish heritage (I.e. ancestry) who are Christians/atheists etc, and their only connection to Jewishness is “heritage: I.e a grandparent was Jewish” - outwardly they’re simply WHITE male/female - can some1 explain what structural racism these people face?
5/The reaction from British media, pundits, and indeed some white Jewish people on twitter has suggested that we should not be able to comment on the concept that there are WHITE skinned people with Jewish ancestry- who are actively not practising Jews- who simply pass as white🤷🏾♂️
6/ commenting on the above, does not mean one dismisses the existence of prejudice and racism that Jewish people face, on the contrary - it brings forth the complexity of how diverse and subtle everyone’s experience of discrimination can be.

7/ Whether British people want to hear it or not (including white Jewish people)- a key cornerstone of SKIN COLOUR based RACISM is that “white is superior, whereas anything non-white is deemed unworthy and undesirable”
Black/Asian/Chinese/Japanese etc CANNOT hide their skin🤷🏾♂️

8/ a Black person, Asian person, Arab person, Chinese, mixed raced person etc - will be judged by a white supremacy world without the need for additional information! They’ll be judged purely from the colour of their skin!
