1/13.⚠️USEFUL INFO: The second meeting (#TC2) of the Transitional Committee (TC) of the #LossAndDamage Fund agreed at #COP27 will happen this week from the 25-27th of May in Bonn, Germany 🇩🇪. This is what's on the agenda🧵👇.

2/13. Following the opening of #TC2, TC members undertake an exchange of views with non-Party observer constituencies on the purpose and scope of the new funding arrangements for responding to #LossAndDamage and the #LossAndDamage Fund established at #COP27.

3/13. During this session, we will likely hear from @WGC_Climate, Environmental NGOs (ENGO), Trade union NGOs (TUNGO), @IYCM, and more on behalf of #CivilSociety on how the TC can deliver a fit-for-purpose #LossAndDamage Fund and Funding Arrangements at #COP28.

4/13. After this the TC will turn to “Matters related to paragraphs 6 and 7 of decisions 2/CP.27 and 2/CMA.4”.

5/13. This will include discussion on the latest version of the Synthesis Report prepared by the @UNFCCC for the TC on existing funding arrangements and innovative sources relevant to addressing #LossAndDamage.

6/13. And discussion on the outcomes of the first workshop on addressing #LossAndDamage that was held in Bonn, Germany🇩🇪 from the 29 - 30 April.

7/13. After this #TC2 will turn to” Matters related to paragraph 5 of decisions 2/CP.27 and 2/CMA.4:” Which will include discussions on:

a. Establishing institutional arrangements, modalities, structure, governance and terms of reference for the #LossAndDamage Fund;

8/13.

b. Defining the elements of the new #LossAndDamage funding arrangements;

c. Identifying and expanding sources of funding for #LossAndDamage;

d. Ensuring coordination and complementarity with existing #LossAndDamage funding arrangements.

10/13. For this agenda item, the Co-chairs of the Transitional Committee (@HonkatukiaOuti and @midnightknock) have prepared a detailed scenario note setting out expectations and ambitions for #TC2.

11/13. In the note, the co-chairs have posed a set of questions for TC members to come prepared to discuss at #TC2.
