I get how weirdly seductive the straw man arguments can be. How easy it is to get sucked into cherry picked logic and inherited rage and to intentionally take intent out of context, hunt for something to be angry about, to attack, under the guise of “calm” smug superiority
It’s so easy to say “I’m not violent. I never would hurt anyone. I’m the calm logical emotionless one and I’m RIGHT” all while your idols and followers stoke the fires of extremity and exclusion, ignoring the consequences of your position, the system we live in, all of it
But it’s all bullshit. It’s false disenfranchisement in the wake of refusing to have empathy for other people. It’s the piled on, misplaced rage of old powers injected into people too safe or young or privileged to understand the awful pain of others
Have some empathy. I mean it. Take a breath. Understand WHY things are the way they are, and why the people you’re fighting are so emotionally invested, so hurt, so determined.
