Generally they only care about big business/their donors. Their policies are failing average Tennesseans.

We've written a lot of threads on #Tennessee status at the bottom of 50 states on virtually everything from average income to life expectancy. Sadly it isn't a surprise that @TNGOP is now resorting to authoritarianism, since its members lack the skills to lead our state. 🧵 Basically the issue is that @TNGOP "leadership" puts big business/their donors first. They don't even think about average Tennesseans, since those folks don't have big bucks to pour into campaign coffers.

Earlier in our mentions we drew a troll who claims we're "making stuff up" when talking about Tennessee's status at the bottom of every measure of the civilized world on everything from child mortality to literacy to medical bankruptcy. Journo @cjcmichel was the first to dig up a trove of docs proving Kline Preston - interviewed by @Tennessean re his ties to Russian spying in a now infamous article we'll link below - was the head of @MarshaBlackburn's campaign org from its inception. 🧵 Firstly the infamous article. We think this doesn't go into Preston's ties to Blackburn because IWRC, they hadn't been proven yet. (We think @anitawadhwani, one of our faves now writing for @TNLookout, would have asked had she had access to the docs.)

Just one detail: Kline Preston was the President of Marsha Blackburn for Congress Inc. from 2002-2009 as proven by documents unearthed by journo @CJCMichel. [Thread] We're starting to see RTs and likes on an old thread we wrote about Alexander Torshin/Maria Butina Russian influence spreading into TN via Kline Preston, the longterm (10+ year) campaign manager of @MarshaBlackburn.

This is probably because of the #SenateIntelReport which dropped a few days ago. Yes, it does include quite a bit of info about Torshin and Butina's activities in Nashville.

We notice it also says members of the Trump Transition Team (again, Blackburn was a co-chair of the Transition) were subject to Russian influence.

He's never directed money to his family (he never lived in the Governors Mansion his supporters paid half the tab to rehab.)
