A week ago, the central bank of #China’s official website announced that the People's Bank will increase 100 billion yuan to support the clean and efficient use of #coal. Already in November 2021, the People's Bank of China (#PBC) created a special reloan of 200 billion yuan to support the clean and efficient use of coal in seven areas; the total amount of reloans to support #coal has reached 300 billion yuan.

The #Ukraine war has shifted international political attention from the Glasgow #COP26 voluntary pledges to the Russian invasion. Among the Glasgow pledges in detail, I see the most serious shortcomings in the pledge to phase out global funding for coal and other fossil fuels, the so-called #carbonbomb as The Guardian has currently called it, but also in the trend of continued and accelerated #deforestation
