I made the trip from Paris and am outraged by this deviation from the normality of the file. The officer at Belmarsh prison notified us of the prison governor's decision to deny us access to Assange at the last minute. #PressFreedom

We fully believe that Julian Assange has been targeted for his contributions to journalism. We defend this case because of its dangerous implications for the future of press freedom around the world. It is time to put a stop to this more than decade-long persecution once and for all. It is time to free Assange.

THREAD Je sors de la réunion avec le Premier ministre. Nous n'avons pas obtenu (pour l'instant) la suppression de l'article 24 de la #PPLSecuriteGlobale, mais @JeanCASTEX nous a annoncé la création prochaine d'une commission indépendante pour statuer sur cet article. Cette commission sera chargée "d'éclairer le gouvernement sans se substituer à la représentation nationale". Le Premier ministre affirme être "disposé à modifier le texte jusqu'à ce que toute ambiguïté ait disparu".

THREAD I attended the first hearing of the #AssangeTrial today. There is an incredible paradox and even a non-sense. The prosecutor accused #Assange of having endangered "political dissidents and journalists". On the contrary, Julian contributed to reveal war crimes and lies. @rebecca_vincent @cmihr @pierrehaski @PaulMoreiraPLTV @ggreenwald @yanisvaroufakis @Snowden In #AssangeTrial, can the prosecutor tell us why the Obama administration did decide not to prosecute, and now the Trump’s one does? It seems that there are alternative facts and even an alternative justice under @realDonaldTrump.
