The #AtlasNetwork’s key Aus region event, the Friedman Conference, became something new this year. It merged with the Church and State show. Libertarian “freedom” was always for plutocrats & enablers - absolutely not for workers. Now “freedom” = “enforced ‘virtue’” too. #auspol Whether “freedom” or “virtue” should be the driving mission amongst conservatives moulding society is an old argument. Freedom has been the mantra for decades. Religious “conservatives” were angry, colonised the project. Now “freedom” is freedom for them to make you virtuous.
